I just received delivery from Amazon today (an amazing two days after I placed the Order). I loaded in the software and hooked up the scanner in about ten minutes and was already scanning. That scanner itself works as advertised. I scanned negatives that are about 15 years old. I bought the scanner primarily to preserve my dad's old 35MM slides and load them onto a digital picture frame. The 4400F is up to that task. Scanning four pictures from the negatives at the highest resolution took about 7 minutes (which I thought was a bit long). I downgraded to "Standard" and it cut the scan time to about 3.5 minutes for four pictures. The quality at standard is noticeably inferior to the top resolution, but i have about 1500 slides to scan before christmas and in the 800x600 resolution picture frame, ... Read More

I have several SanDisk Extreme III compact flash cards: 2Gig and 4Gig cards. I've never had a problem with any of them, and they are fast, not only to write to (if you have a camera that can write a lot in a burst, as I do, both a Canon 30D and a Canon 40D) but it's also really fast to copy your pictures off of these cards to a PC, especially if your PC's reader can process them quickly! On my 30D and 40D cameras, I save both the large JPG and the RAW files to the SanDisk cards, and I can shoot in the mode that will take many per second, and these cards have always been able to keep up with the cameras. I will only use these. I have shot in temperatures from 110 degrees F and in places below -10 degrees F with these cards, and I have never a problem with the cards.

Great product, easy to use, does what it is supposed to do! Simple, no frills. Could not get it to work with ichat---that could be my technical error though. Using it in Skype and Quicktime and it works just fine!

The Kingston Technology DataTraveler 16GB USB Flash Drive is the latest update from Kingston in their standard design. This model doubles the capacity of the Kingston 8GB DataTraveler USB flash drive that I have used alongside my many other flash drives for almost a year. All of these drives have worked very well for me.

The 16 GB capacity on this guy makes it very useful for even more file backups or USB storage than other drives. There are a few cons to this standard design, but over time they have come to seem even more minor. This is a solid product. I will have to use it a little longer before I can report on any other minor differences in durability or performance.

PROS:
+ 16 GB capacity allows even larger data backups than ever before

PC Hardware : DMS 6-in-1 USB 2.0 High Speed Memory Card Reader Writer for SD SDHC MiniSD MiniSDHC MMC rsMMC
i bought the reader to work w/ my 8g and 4g micro SD cards so i could backup data to hard drive.

the red indicator light glows on the reader, and an icon for 'removable disk e:' appears in explorer. however when you click on the icon i get the error message: 'please insert a disk drive into drive E:'

in other words, my system recogizes the reader, but not the card plugged into the reader.

regardless, it's of no use to me. and i'm in the market for another card reader. any suggestions of a good one?

I won't say much other than, if you edit photographs using Photoshop, this will make your job a lot easier. It's also great for browsing the Internet, rather than using a mouse or mouse pad. Highly recommend this product; customer service is a plus.

I bought this printer from Amazon and everything's been great. Receiving it ahead of schedule and at a good price. The printer has performed flawlessly so far, copying, printing and scanning are real quick and it was very easy to install. Well, that doesn't go for setting up on a network but, like all the earlier reviews, it took some doing. I know I didn't follow the steps to a "T" but still got it done in a reasonable amount of time. The cartridges will be costly at about $15-$17 each, times 5 (ouch) but, what printer doesn't cost much for ink?? The footprint is reasonable and great for my needs.
I do a lot of printing and I highly recommend this printer!

The DIR-655 provides more than what I expected in a wireless router. My research found this router to be the rated highly by experts and users alike. The options and configuration can be somewhat daunting for novices whereas experienced users will enjoy the control they can apply to their networks. I have various devices connected to it (Apple TV, Skype phone, NAS, LCD TV and wireless destops and laptops) and all of them run really well. I am able to redirect my Synology NAS Disk Station DS107+ High Performance Single Bay Network Storage FTP & HTTP features through the router seamlessly and have wireless bandwidth to access the internet. The DHCP client is more reliable than my previous 3Com wireless router. I just wish the broadband internet provider would be as reliable as this router. I ... Read More
