It is exactly what I needed. It is easy to use. I did backup on it all my movies, pictures, voice recordings, programs etc. and there is still plenty of space left. I can run from it programs (with backup data) it works like additional computer. I am planning buy one more. The speakers are plenty loud for a laptop computer. Sometimes the sound is funky depending upon the medium that you're playing. Things may sound too high pitched or too flat, which will result in you changing the EQ quite a lot. While that gets annoying after awhile, it isn't a big enough deal to make me want to get rid of the speakers. The price was right, and if you have the EQ adjusted properly the sound is right also. Oh, and the bass is pretty decent for such low wattage! I'd recommend these, but if you're looking for the next step up I recommend the Klipsch 2.1 system ([.......]).

This is my first webcam, so, I don't have any others to compare with. I do, however, have played with built in webcams from the newer mac books as well as PC laptops own by friends. The webcam is nicely built and mounts securely on top of my LCD monitor. I got it primarily to use video chat through skype. It works well for that application. Install went well. I downloaded directly from logitech and did not use included CD. My only con is that it does not focus well at all. I knew it is a manual focus webcam. I used a white background with letters focus method. I set the white background on the chair at the my sitting distance and turn the dial till I can read the letters on the white background. quite and fast. i lvoe the glowing lights at the base when it's in use. i have been using this for a few weeks now as a time machine backup drive, and also for music and videos. it's running smoothly and does not generate that much heat.

I chose the G11 over the G15 because I didn't like the thought of having to give up my spinning volume wheel from the old Logitech Elite. Sadly, the volume wheel on the G11 is much worse than on the Elite. It has barely any tactile feedback, which would normally not be a problem, except that it is completely smooth save for a tiny bump you can barely feel. I had to adjust to pressing down harder on it to get it to even turn. I ran into a small snag with the media keys and controlling iTunes. By default, they would only control iTunes if it had focus (this may be iTune's fault). I had to get a plugin to fix this (get mmkeys.dll and use it as a plugin).
