Summary: My unit failed after 2 months and it is not a genuine Dell charger. I bought this to replace my original Dell charger. A little over 2 months later, it's dead. When it worked, it would really overheat. As the previous reviewers stated, this is not a Dell charger even though it is advertised as such. It still might be worth buying if the charger lifetime vs replacement cost is better than Dell chargers. For me, this was not the case, and I will be spending the extra money for a Dell-brand charger.

A reasonable compact laptop, with a limited memory and storage, just right for a schoolkid like my nephew to take his work to and from school. nice and light weight.It does the job efficienly, no frills.

My original adapter had a short where it plugs in to the back of the computer, so back in June I bought this one to replace it. I too got a cheap knockoff, but I figured it wouldn't make any real difference. I was wrong. I don't use my computer much, maybe a few hours a week, and my original adapter lasted over three years. This one quit on me after less than 5 months! Save yourself the time and money and get a better adapter from somewhere else.

After ordering here and receiving this item (from Dell Direct), I missed the fine print. But the copy above does say that you need a PA-10 type power supply. As received from Dell, the item came with absolutely no documentation (or even an invoice for that matter.) So here I go ordering another $25 power adapter in order to use it. I'll be back if this isn't great.

I have bought this AXIM from NATHANSMITH a couple of weeks ago and I still have not recieved it. I believe that you should be cautious doing business with anyone who does not forfill their part of the business. I bought the AXIM form him a while back and til today (11/1/08) I have not recieve them item. I have emailed him 3x within the month because this a xmas present for a friend. yet there was no reply when i will recieve this item. because of this i am very frustrated and angry and i may take legal actions because on all parties and sue the hell outof you guys! thsi is totally mess up and I feel hoodwinked for not recieving my item. My laptop arrived with obvious signs of use, a non-functioning AC adapter, and no frills whatsoever... such as installation disks or user manuals. All you get is the laptop and a power cable (that didn't work, in my case). It was cheap, though.

I recently bought a Dell Docking station and found that I needed a PA-10 adaptor in order to make it work with my Dell D-610. On searching the Net I found Dell PA-10 adaptors ranging from $23 to $100+ which was very confusing. I finally decided to take a chance with this adaptor from Cable4Less. I used expedited shipping- I received an email conformation within 24 hrs that the product had shipped, and the adaptor arrived in 48 hrs. I plugged it in my docking station and voila- no problems. I am impressed by Cable4less and readily recommend this product. It looks like genuine Dell adaptor- not sure why it sells for $100+ elsewhere.
