First of all, prior to buying this laptop, I only looked at the stats. The selling points for me was the large hard drive, and the extremely light weight. Aside from the identical stats, like the Atom processor and the RAM, and 6 cell battery, the HHD and weight were the very reason I bought this laptop. However, after I purchased it, I started getting scared for several reasons after looking at actual older reviews. Problems with a loud fan noise. WiFi problems (worried me the most.) I got my monitor today and hooked it up. I got a black screen. Nothing else. I undid it and hooked up my 15" monitor and went to the acer website. The CD that comes with it did nothing but flicker inthe drive. I tried tor register it but it said the serial number was wrong, I checked it twice with no luck. I looked for an online manual but couldn't find one. Had a difficult time trying to find out where to e-mail my questions. Went to the download site to download drivers because I had 600x800 and need more and apparently I need drivers to do that. I don't even know what a driver is. At the download site I put in the info but it didn't download. Couldn't even find anything that said "download" Looks like I'm going to have to wrap up this expensive piece of junk and return it.

i am writing this review from this machine, using a wireless connection while i am on the go. it's exactly what it was meant to do. it's not for heavy computing of course, but for email, web browsing, etc, it's perfect. SO portable, comes with a little sleeve, the color is less cotton candy than i expected so i was pleasantly surprised. (i chose pink because at the time it seemed to be the one in stock at best price). keyboard slightly smaller than normal one so takes minor adjustment. no problems picking up internet, wireless and my home dsl wired connection. i haven't yet tried any spreadsheets or documents but will do. i loaded a lot of photos, some mp3's and some videos and no problem with anything. the sd card reader is also handy because i can pull the card from my cell phone or camera on the run. if you ...
