My first Tungsten E2 was stolen. After such great fun and a user friendly pda, this is the only replacement choice to even consider. No need to check the others out. This is the one to own.

I've used this device as my main PDA for a couple years now, and I like it quite a bit. The hardware is quite nice, it is sad that Palm stopped progressing with PalmOS. The good news is, thanks to hackers like the people at [...], you can now easily put your own software on the Palm TX. You can already put OpenMoko on it, and I'll bet soon you'll be able to run Android on it. If you want to try yourself, I've been working on making it easy to do. This is my first PDA, and so far my only one. No problems other than not reading directions (my bad) and when I did finally look up a problem I found it was operator error (me) and easily correctable. Since I haven't had a different PDA, I can't say how it compares to others, but it's easy to use, easy to program, easy to download things, easy to update. Don't know how I'd entertain myself in doctors' offices waiting for appointments or waiting for anything. I play games on it and the screen is bright and clear and easy to read. I download books and music on removeable memory cards and just use it in so many ways. It stores all the contact info I need, with as much detail as I want to put in. If you are caught between a TX and a Lifedrive--go with the TX. While the LifeDrive has more room, it is lacking in speed when compared to the TX. The TX is seamless when switching between applications. The LifeDrive will hang and freeze, when switching between applications, for what will seem like an eternity no reset is needed--just patience. Many claim that the system has hard reset many times, wiping out the internal memory, in the time that I've owned it, this has not happened. Ranking order for those wanting a Palm device: LifeDrive is good, E2 is better, TX is best.

The Palm Tungsten C is not compatable with Windows Vista. they have yet to come out with software update or fix for this problem. After talking to Palm tech support it doesn't appear that they ever will or care to. The unit is great if you never upgrade to vista which Microsoft seems to be forcing on the public.

Palm Pilot Zire 71--this product was not as specified. There wasn't a manual, lots more scratches than indicated; and, finally, there wasn't a charger as advertised. The product was not charged so I could not check it out. Received full refund from Amazon and the product was returned to sender.

the tungsten t3 was a little more than i had originally thought. it has better graphics for playing games than anticipated. although you may not hotsync many games, the ability is there with the expansion card. the music player is awesome if you have an SD Card that is loaded with music. all in all i would have to say that the purchase of the t3 was defineately a wise decision. you cannot hotsync it with a vista64 operating system, but XP home is just as good and there are multiple places on the internet to find software to download and use for it.

I bought mine refurb and after 2-yrs I'm still in love with my SJ20. Although it sometimes fails and auto resets, of all of my gadgets it's by far my best companion at the point I depend on it. Sony's decision of quittin' the PDA business was annoying, I have to say, but my loyalty to Clié remains intact, so whenever somebody asks me for a recommendation on PDAs I always suggest Sony Clié. Right now I'm looking for an upgrade, which shall be a TJ27 (the one that comes with built-in camera), and my beloved SJ20 will remain close to me in my fianceé's hands.
