This is probably the best laptop I ever bought. I had 2 sony vaio's before and used different types of windows laptops from work. By far, this is the best user experience I've had using a laptop, with great aesthetics. The boot up time is incredibly fast, applications(itunes, safari, iphoto, canon software etc) load super fast, compared to windows. Apple makes home computing incredibly easy with Leopard and macbook.

Like some of the other customers, I debated whether to buy a macbook or macbook pro, but in the end I couldn't justify the added cost just for larger display and dedicated graphics card. This works just fine, I use aperture with this and it works really well

I have one of these and it's extremely unreliable. Wireless connection? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA keep dreaming. You'll spend more time trying to fix it than using it. Customer support? Good luck. I had a G4 Titanium for four years and it was great. I hate this and I've had it less than two years. WORST COMPUTER I HAVE EVER OWNED.

I am wondering if I should go with VOSTRO 1000 from DELL and install my own choice of Linux (say Ubuntu)? It has 80GB hard disk allowing lot more storage. It also comes with Vista, just in case.

I've only had this Eee901 for a four days and I absolutely adore it. Amazing size, speed, battery life. But she's breaking my heart. The partitioned drive setup and the way the pc comes pre-installed means that I get low disk space warnings all the time...doing mundane things like reading mail or writing this review. I've uninstalled lots of the programs that came preinstalled but this C drive is just too darn small. This is my only pc and perfect for my needs. I don't run alot of programs or store files so I didn't expect the space to be an issue. Forget trying to stream a video. I don't know if the Eee 1000 solves this problem, but I have real buyer's remorse right now, especially because everything else about this Eee is great. I'm waiting for Tech Support to respond to my questions about how to ... Read More

If you're looking for a mobile way to browse the internet from a wifi connection then this device is awesome. It has by far the best portable wifi web browsing I've seen.

If you're looking for a fun, small, portable linux platform to play with, this is a great place for that.

If you're looking for a GPS device, do not buy the n810 for this. The GPS is honestly terrible compared to anything I've ever used. Not only does it truly take 5-10 minutes to get a lock as other reviews say, the resulting nav data is lagged and innacurate. I had read that it took a long time to get a lock, which I could deal with, but not driving down the road the nav showing my position where I was a good 20-30 seconds ago, too late to make that turn now... Inacuracy problems were constant too. Driving down the road ... Read More

PC Hardware : MSI Wind 10" Mini Laptop (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Black
I purchased this (in white, though) for $499. And yes, I am talking about the one with the 6 CELL battery.

I don't have a clue why it's listed here - and a few other places - for $50 more. It's wrong. MSI has not "officially" increased its MSRP on this mini, but retailers are taking that rumor and running with it. So, what's the result of retailers running with a *rumor*? Everyone begins to think "Oh, look at all the sites selling the MSI at a higher cost, welp, MSI must've increased the price, shucks." It's so wrong. They did *not*.

I live in Nashville and we have/had local retailers with this on pre-order. This is how I got mine... nothing like a local geek stores :) Anyway, the review...

The best improvement on this model, other than the obvious longer battery life is the WiFi. On my ... Read More
