I purchased two Ambient Orbs. One was faulty, and they replaced it with no problems. One worked perfectly for a long time (doesn't seem to be working, now), and the other worked on the middle light intensity, but not on high or low intensity. Then I dropped it and broke it (about 6 months ago). Had them for years, but don't use them now.

This is a rip-off! They charge you an extra $9.99 a month for IM... Something that is FREE! Now if they included wireless service that would be a great deal but they don't and you have to use your own Wi-Fi. Sure that includes text messaging, but thats what we all have cell phones for. I recently broke my Zipit, (more like a few months ago :-) and I have been thinking about getting another one, but now I see that it will be a waste of money since I have IM on my cell phone. My suggestion to you is if you have unlimited texting/IM on your cell phone, use that and dont get ripped off for something that is supposed to be FREE!!

I ordered this for my 82 year old mother who had previously been using a mailstation that quit connecting and for which 7 calls to a customer service group based in India was of no help. The box arrived with this machine in it. I had it out of the box, hooked up and working within 10 minutes, including the time to open the box. I sent up the address book for my mom and within minutes of that, she had sent her first emails from the mailbug. The keyboard is also a very nice one and the visual display is easy to read. The customer service group, who I had to call to activate the account, is in the US and were helpful and very easy to deal with. Its a wonderful option for someone who wants email but doesn't really want to learn how to use a computer.

My original Web TV unit finally gave out after 7 years, so I replaced it with MSN TV 2, despite reading more than a few negative reviews here. Biggest consumer mistake I've ever made. Heed the warnings, folks, they are not lying! First my email account didn't exist for several days. Videos WILL NOT PLAY unless you have high speed service, which I don't. In fact, the screen just freezes up and you must unplug the unit and reconnect any time you try this. The screen freezes up CONSTANTLY, in fact, whether you are trying to do ANYTHING. What a nightmare. Tech support was very helpful, I can't complain there at all. But after awhile, you just get sick of the problems and surrender. I sent it back, got a refund, and bought a REAL laptop computer.

Hands down the sony plus webtv unit is the best that has ever been made. With it you can surf and send email without any worry about viruses and spyware and best of all its so easy to use your Grandma or Grandpa could figure it out in minutes. All that is required is a tv set, a phone line and a monthly subscription from MSN.
