i bought this xd memory card for my phone because someone had told me how expensive it was in the store and how i would get it much cheaper here. however when it arrived i put it into my blackberry and it wasnt reading that i had a memory card in. i went to the phone dealer to see if it was my phone that was the problem but it turns out that the new memory card i had received from amazon was magnatized and didnt work. after all the trouble i went through to get it, i have to go to a store and buy it for a lot more because i cant trust it to work if i order it online! my one advice would be... DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT! its a waste of time and effort and you can never be sure that it will actually work.

Although you can save money by buying bulk products like this, watch the shipping charges. Many companies like lowering the base cost of the item and then charging unreasonable "shipping" charges. So if you wanted to buy, say, four of these items, it would cost roughly twenty five dollars because the shipping charge is really part of the price. The Kinston SDMicro is a valuable resource for anyone who has a device that can take them. But be careful. Not all devices take 8GB. I put one of these in a Sandisk mp3 player and it only registered as a 4GB. Hopefully Amazon will one day carry these so we don't have to buy them from marketerring cheap skates. I bought two of these, one for my digital camera and one for my digital camcorder. I've had them for about 8 months and am very pleased with the product. They work great in both of my cameras and the SD slot in my PC. Each of mine came in a small plastic case which has proven to be very handy in preventing damage to the card (or a spare SD card) and allowing me to differentiate between cards so that I never have to worry about mixing them up. I've found the 2GB's to be more than adequate for my needs but should I need more I will be purchasing these again.

I had a Canon S2IS. I really took about 30,000 pics and a few thousand video clips with that camera. It finally went E18 error on me as Canon often does. I was annoyed of course but my wife reminded me of the great pics and clips we got over the years with it. Our older Canon A-70 went E18 on us as well but we took thousands of pics with it too. We still buy Canon because of the quality of the pics and the video clips are the best quality. I believe we payed about 100 bucks for a 512 CF card back then. I bought the 16GB Transcend and then the Lensmate adapter to stop dirt and dust from getting in the camera each time the lens retracts. We bought a Hoya polarizing filter and a UV filter too. I've had my Transcend 4 GB card for about month. No problems as of yet. I have a database for a dictionary stored on the card and my dictionary still seems to run fast.

SanDisk Rules! Grabbed another set when Blue Proton(BP) offered excellent price with S/H. Should have waited a week for BP to return it to regular <$10 (including SH) price because they give you a free ($6 value) SD card reader when you buy 2. Oh well, cést la vie when one is impulse buying. SD regular is harder and harder to find and no luck finding 4GB SD regular anymore without an outrageous price tag. Prefer San Disk to cheaper versions because the lock key works and stays put. SD is also only what older devices like Palm TX and older camera accomodates. Even though newer SDHC cards are competitive in price, they are useless if older gear cannot take or read them. Each 2GB holds about 2-3 hours of video in .avi files for a portable movie player(PMP).
