After having tried several "atomic time" clock radios and alarm clocks, I have finally found what is for me a nearly perfect unit. The clock easily synchs up with the time signal from WWVB, even during the daytime, when many other units can't (assuming you orient the antenna properly). The digitally tuned radio works well on both AM and FM, being one of the few radios that I have tried that doesn't get swamped by the nearby radio towers. A big plus on the alarm clock feature is that you can set the alarm to a particular station and volume, and then go to sleep with the radio set for a different station and volume. I bought this in April '08, but didn't get it outside until May. When it was 88 degrees outside according to the car and a local bank, the thermometer read 110 degrees. I agree with another reviewer about the paper face. I didn't have mine long enough for it to warp, but it sure looked cheap and like it would warp one day. I returned mine and Amamzon only refunded $26. Not so good for a defective item. I'll amend this review if they decide to give me a full refund. I'm not at all convinced that this item is made by Conant. I think it's a fake.

I got this from Amazon in December 05 and I placed it outside my bedroom window since then. So far it has worked wonderfully. Despite rainy, windy and hot sunny days this clock remains remarkable well preserved (looks like new) and it has never lost its colors nor its sticking features. I have never touched it again since I put it in the window. The numbers are large enough so I can even check the whether while still lying on the bed. In Mexico we do not use the Fahrenheit scale for the whether but the Celsius, and this thermometer has both. In my home town, the whether changes very much during a year (-5 C in winter to +45 C in summer) and I have never had any problem, this thermomether is always accurate. i found it extremely difficult to set up and while it is supposed to receive radio signals ie daylight savings time it has not adjusted wate of money
