This wireless outdoor thermometer has worked flawlessly so far. My old unit would constantly loss the connection between the transmitter and the base unit. The LCD display could be a little bigger(or it would be a 5 rating), it's hard to read at certain angles. All in all a great product at a ridiculously cheap price.

When I received this product the screen was covered with spots and foggy...Requested a replacement and received the replacement in the same condition...The packages had not been opened...This must be a manufacturing defect...Buyer Beware!

Outdoor Living : Oregon Scientific Giovannoni Weather Station
I've always been fascinated by Oregon Scientific products, but they didn't seem to have the aesthetic design that I was looking for....until I saw the Giovannoni Weather Station. This product has exquisite design.

Practically, it works like a dream as I'm monitoring the temperature inside, outside, in my cigar humidor and wine cellar. Cigars and wine require consistent and particular conditions in order to flourish. The Giovannoni handles up to five sensors (comes with one remote sensor, the others can be purchased additionally). With just a whirl of the dial, I can monitor any of the aforementioned places. Too cool for words.

My only issue is that in standby modus (when the dial is not being used) the screen is not illuminated and thus not easy to see the data. That ... Read More

179.Taylor Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Humidity Guide and Remote Sensor from: Taylor

Outdoor Living : Taylor Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Humidity Guide and Remote Sensor
This hygrometer is a complete piece of junk. I have purchased other wireless weather instruments made by Oregon Scientific that were solidly constructed and quite accurate. But this Taylor instrument is awful. Place the indoor and remote outdoor units side by side on a table, and the temperature reading differed by 3 degrees (so much for 0.1 degree accuracy). Relative humidity readings differed on the indoor and outdoor units by 6 percent (again with them sitting on a table side by side).

The LCD display is dim and hard to read except in bright light. The flimsy plastic case is cheaply made. The plastic hanger for the outside sensor will probably fall apart after a couple of battery changes. My recommendation is that you avoid this, or any product made by Taylor Instruments.
