This was my first weather station. About 3 years ago. From Lowes. With the uv sensor which is what got my attention. And along with the thermo/hygro. For 70$ i did it. Everything works. And good reception. Now 3 year from the purchase i am still happy with it. I have had Lacrosse, Taylor, Springfield, and Acu-rite. But this which out lived all. Of them by years shows the sturdy structure. The sensors are old to where the plastic use to be white. Now its a yellowish color. But it still works. Now with it i have an Oregon Scientific WMR100 with the BAR609HGA. So i am attached to Oregon Scientific. Thay are my company.

this allows us to check temperature inside & outside our greenhouse from the comfort of our home...no wires to fool with and inexpensive to replace the sensor unit if it eventually succumbs to greenhouse heat and humidity...no other units we found at anywhere near this price remotely monitor 2 temperatures.

I bought this mainly for the barometer and anemomter features to have along for fishing and hunting trips. Both of these features work very well, as well as the hygrometer. The unit shows these in real time, tracks changes and records minimum and maximum events. The only feature that doesn't work well is the altimeter. I don't know what theory or system is used but it isn't accurate, at least not on my unit. I can be sitting in the same place and watch the altitude go up and down without moving it. It's very seldom that it remains stable. I can understand some fluctuation +/- a couple of feet but it goes beyond that. Since the altimeter wasn't an important feature for me it's not a bother. Finding an old-fashioned weather vane that is affordable (most are in the hundreds of dollars) can be like finding a needle in the proverbial haystack. I was glad to find this one. It was easy to assemble. We mounted to a corner deck rail, using a compass to orient it. We've been very pleased. It stays outside year round and we've not had to repaint or maintain it in any way.

Dynamite, accurate indoor/outdoor thermometer. I tried another brand (Acurite), but the outdoor sending unit (which provides temperature data for the outside temperature) didn't transmit even 30 feet away, much less the specified 100 ft. The Honeywell is stable and the sending unit powerful. Also accurate - placing the base and outside units next to each other showed same temperature - other brand was off by 1 to 2 degrees!

I loved the way this looks, so I thought it would be a nice complement to my home. It does not keep the tides straight and I've tried keeping the batteries as fresh as possible. To make sure it's accurate, I still have to check the internet, so what's the point? What a piece of junk.

We just returned from 6 weeks in Europe and discovered this unit in Holland but waited to buy it here on Amazon with free shipping. This weather station works great. The wireless outdoor sensor gives me current temperature and the unit inside reads temperature/humidity/time /date/predicts future weather with and arrow pointing up (improving) sideways(same...no change) or down (worse). The weather girl icon is cute and helps to show how to dress for the day. My wife doesn't like her as she is a little to cute in here bikini. Calendar and sunrise are nice too. Well, I'm semi-happy with my purchase. I bought two of these items because they were cheap compared with the shipping cost. Luckly, one of them registers the "correct" temperature with the other being something like 3~5 deg too low (depending on ambient temperature checked by a high-end digital thermometer). The product works perfectly and offers excellent visibility and is a snap to install. I'm just not happy with the product variability. No point in having a thermometer that's not particularly accurate!
