The thermometer arrived and was stuck somewhere around 95 degrees, so it was returned. Maybe others work, but it wasn't worth the effort for me.

I bought this item twice. Once for a friend who recently graduated from a meteorology program, and the second time for a father's day gift. My weatherman friend likes it a lot because it almost does his job for him. It shows outdoor temperature, barometric pressure, indoor temperature, time, and predicts the quality of the weather by measuring all those things. My friend enjoyed it so much that I got one for my dad with two extra sensors. He now uses it at his lake house in Maine. The three sensors were placed down near the lake, in the woods, and right outside the house. Each of these sensors took about 10 minutes to set up, but it works wonderfully. A lot of people have said good stuff about this, let me share a few things about this that are quite ridiculous: 1) The stupid remote sensor needs to be powered up before the clock itself. It means that when the remote sensor runs out of batteries, you need to cut power to the main unit as well then power on the remote sensor first and then the main unit. Not such a big hassle if your original settings were restored. But they aren't, so it means you need to reprogram the device each time the remote sensor runs out of batteries (i.e. if you intend using the remote sensor) 2) For some odd reason, the temperature being displayed in C or F is determined by the 12 hr or 24 hr clock setting. So, selecting 24 hr style clock will display the temperature in C while the 12 hr style ... Read More

Easy set-up. Just insert the batteries in the temp/humidity sensor, then the base unit, as the instructions indicate. They synch up in a moment and you're ready to go. The atomic clock feature is handy for helping to keep the other clocks around the home set more accurately. Also records high/low temps for a given period. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, relatively inexpensive indoor/outdoor wireless thermometer, this unit will do the job nicely.

Just received and really enjoy the larger display. Nice to see at a glance what it says. Easy to set up and started working right away. Only drawback is the Min/Max function button is on the back of the unit. That is okay if you set it on a table or desk, but I have mine hanging on the wall, so that makes it not so handy. I would still recommend it!
