Measures within 0.2F of my expensive calibration unit and across several of these received from Amazon they all are within 0.2F of each other when in calibration scenario. They respond to changes slightly slower than my calibration unit but not enough slower to affect their use. I would have preferred C sized batteries for longer life.

I've been using the weather station for a couple of weeks now with no complaints. The wireless sensor linked up without a hitch and the temperature output matched the main unit in a little "same room" test I did before moving the sensor.

I bought this item twice. Once for a friend who recently graduated from a meteorology program, and the second time for a father's day gift. My weatherman friend likes it a lot because it almost does his job for him. It shows outdoor temperature, barometric pressure, indoor temperature, time, and predicts the quality of the weather by measuring all those things. My friend enjoyed it so much that I got one for my dad with two extra sensors. He now uses it at his lake house in Maine. The three sensors were placed down near the lake, in the woods, and right outside the house. Each of these sensors took about 10 minutes to set up, but it works wonderfully. I ordered this because it had all the features I needed at the right price. I received the merchandise quickly and installed the batteries. The main unit picked up the sensor just fine - UNTIL - if you set the clock or date, the signal is lost!! I repeated this experiment 3 times - at distances of 1", 10", and 10' - EVERY time the unit lost the sensors signal. The seller took care of me, but I do NOT recommend this product to anyone unless you like to buy Junk.

First off, get this one and not the WS-7013TWC, also sold by Amazon. The 'BZ' unit comes with a remote sensor and is cheaper than the 'TWC' which doesn't come with a remote sensor. Go figure. I guess it is like airline fares. Anyway, the unit, although it is a bit on the small side does it job well. I had an older La Crosse base station, which gave up the ghost, so I replaced it with this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the new one immediately paired with the old remote unit, so now I have two remote units. Nice! The batteries, especially on the remote have lasted a long time. (The old remote unit is on its original battery from 3 years ago.

The device is simple to set up, and generally works great. However, it is always showing rain in the forecast even when its absolutely sunny outside and there.
