I bought this product after fighting a serious japanese Beetle problem. It takes quite some time to put the product on your lawn and water it in but I have an acre. It would go quicker for a smaller area. With Milky Spore it takes up to three years to become completely effective and be spread throughout your lawn. I will try to report then what effect it will have. I have also had to use products to spray on individual plants to keep the beetles from completely eating them. I am hoping this dual control will effectively eliminate or at least make the beetles control more manageable.

I bought the 20 oz Shake Away Small Critter Repellent directly from the manufacturer. It came quickly and to my pleasant surprise, worked as advertised. I have a small front yard that was alive with moles. The entire area was full of tunnels and each morning there were more.I tried the electronic things with no effect. I was very skeptical about Shake Away but had no other viable alternative. I followed directions and sprinkled lightly around the perimeter. Since I was going away in 10 days and would not be home for a week, I applied it three times the first week. When I returned from my trip, there were no moles. whoever wrote a bad review obviously isn't using these right. I have one trap with 31, yes thirty-one moths, and the other has 15 (fifteen) trapped inside. We have an air conditioner that isn't completely sealed in a window near one and I think it even attracted a few from outside and trapped them. So it captures the males no problem. But that's what you want to break the cycle in a cheap and effective way without poisoning yourself, the planet, your kids or your pets right? These work!

The owl arrived exactly as described. I used it to rid my workshop of birds trying to nest inside. It could have hung from the rafter but I chose to weight it with sand and set it on the attic flooring. The birds are gone.

I got some of these when the Contech brand went out of stock - boy was I disappointed - they didn't catch anything!!! after a month or so they each only have a couple of moths in them... My Contech traps had to be replaced because they were completely covered with moths... I finally pulled the pheromones out of the contech traps and added them to these traps and now they're catching more... totally inferior product by comparison. Save yourself the hassle and get the Contech ones to start with.

I have just purchased two more P3 International Mole Chasers #P7901 mole chasers for the simple reason that they work. I have had two of them in my back yard for three years and they have kept the moles away. Having noticed mole activity in my front yard, I have installed two more there. Although making sure to lime my lawn every year must surely be part of the solution, I am convinced that the P3 is an effective mole control.

These traps are very effective, no question about it. I'm perplexed by the reviewer who reports no casualties. I caught >200 yellowjackets (AKA "meat bees") within 2 days after baiting my 4 traps this year. One piece of advice- the pheromone bait is never effective for 10 weeks as claimed. It may be a function of >90 F temperature (which coincides with heightened yellowjacket activity), but these baits never work well for me for more than 2 weeks. I recommend using small pieces of meat- raw, cooked, soaked in BBQ sauce, it doesn't matter. These little devils prefer food to sex, and meat is their ambrosia. I've done side by side comparisons with pheromone- versus meat-baited traps, and the meat generally catches 3 to 5 times as many in a given time period. Save yourself the $$$. ... Read More

Very easy to set up. Be sure to have a tall stake on which to hang the trap. We have used a metal post with a hook made for a bird feeder. The first day of use, I estimated catching about 200 beetles. The only thing one needs to watch is the WEATHER. Move it under cover if it's going to rain. If you haven't heard the weatherman but notice the absence of Japanese beetles on your plants or at the trap, that's a positive clue that rain is in the forecast (or its after 3 PM when the beetles return to their nests in the ground).
