This was just as it was pictured. The first time I used it I was amazed at how much power it had for such a small compact unit. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in buying it. I have owned gas powered leaf blowers, electric leaf blowers and have always had a hard time with their bulkiness and weight. This lightweight leaf blower is impressive.

It cuts very good and is light for me to handle. It has a little trouble cutting limbs larger than a half inch in diameter.

Don't buy this! The collection bag is the size of a sandwich bag. The blower is pathetically powered, it barely moves the leaves in my lawn. And finally and most importantly, I used it 5 times and it's broken and Northern Tool says "oh well to bad!" I am out $150 and have nothing to show for it. Run away don't walk.

This is actually a nice edger for a smaller, lighter duty yard. The good things: Light, easy to use, compact. Bad things; Loud and it has a plastic piece (Where a wheel ought to be) that you drag along the ground. This of course starts to wear out as you use the machine. (Unless your not sliding ton concrete or install a wheel or slide guard yourself) A problem I had is that the hoses going to the gas tank to the carb have crumbled. (Fell apart.) Replacing these hoses is not as easy as one would think. First off, the gas tank doesnt come off easily. Once (If) you get the tank off, apparently their is some sort of filter thing inside the tank and once you pull the hoses, this filter comes off. I bought this along with a 30cc string trimmer and this baby has paid for itself at least 3x over now. Within a month of buying it a 30 foot cedar in my back yard died. I was able to use this to cut the tree down and subsequently chop it into 30" logs for the city to carry away. Talk about TIMELY. Since then I've trimmed several trees and cut down/up Another full-sized tree. It's great because the saw is far enough away that there is little danger of injury from kickback or slipping and sharing off a foot--I doubt I could touch the blade if I fell straight forward while using it. This product looked like a new trimmer, however after using it for approx. five minutes and after having trouble starting it It quit running and never was able to get it started again, it is now in one of Homelites factory service centers for repairs which will cost me another $10.00. I will think twice about ever purchasing another refurbed again, and probably never will online. I will stick to retail stores where i can return it should problems arise.

I am a petite woman who likes to work in the yard. I give this item 3 stars because while it is light and an effective (powerful) leaf blower, it is LOUD as heck (1/2 hour and your ears will be ringing if you don't wear earplugs) and it has a lot of vibration that is fairly irritating. Also, the nozzel has a tendency to fall off. My husband hates it. I only got two seasons out of it because I didn't put enough of that small engine oil in the gas tank (I was stingy when we were running low). Well serves me right, because the darn thing jammed. I am not buying another of these, though, am going to look for something with less vibration and noise.
