I have a wide, barrel style smoker grill. It now has a surface mounted thermometer on the front of the door at meat level on both the left and right sides, as well as the stock thermometer mounted on the top. I got this for more accurate measurement of the inside temperature right at the meat. It does it's job great, seems calibrated fine. The only issue I have is that it has discolored, but that is because of all the smoke etc. rolling around inside my grill, and not this things fault. I just keep wiping it every time I put it in. When it no longer becomes usable, which I doubt will be for a very long time, I will buy another.

I bought this brush because of the brass bristles and hoped that it wouldn't scrape my porcelain coated grill and thus far I don't see any scrape marks. However, I haven't been scraping too hard because it is a new grill and the gunk comes off pretty easily. One thing I have noticed is that, at least on my grill, the bristles don't work their way in-between the grates as advertised unless you press hard, which I haven't really done. It could be because my grates are pretty fat. So instead I have just turned it sideways to get in-between the grates. That seems to work fine. Also, the brush I got in the mail is not the one in the picture. The brush I got, although 12 inches long, is the similar looking one on Amazon that looks shorter and fatter. This COVER Fits the Performer charcoal grills perfectly. Be sure you get the model 9986 that is made to fit over the cooking dome. There are other covers that look like they may fit (i.e. model 7455) but you may not be happy. The MODEL 9986 looks nice with the Weber logo and extends almost to the bottom of the unit, protecting the grill for rain..... also, one should not be concerned that a strong wind could cause the cover to blow off....

I have used several beer can type chicken roasters and this is by far the best. There is no chance for the chicken to tip over as the chicken fits firmly on the unit and is not top heavy as other roasters are. The chicken slides right up off the support with ease and is a breeze to clean up because of the no-stick suface of the roaster. I liked it so well I purchased another! This roaster can also be used in an oven. Larry

i am a novice cook of the most backward variety, knowing only how to boil eggs with difficulty. recently forced into learning how to make food for my family including my kids, i bought this grill. I tell not a lie when i say that my chicken is as good or better than anything i have ever tasted, thanks to good sauce purchases, & good chicken of course. My kids love the food. I am even gaining in confidence & trying my own seasoned oil varieties. Burgers, french fries, sausages are also excellent. Steak a little trickier. I think the heat levels, a little higher (1800 v 1500) than the majority, & the larger size make a substantial difference. The tilt feature allows the oil, fat to drip down, enabling a cleaner wash. I used this in a vertical retangular brinkman (2-door) smoker. It easily held 2 slabs of ribs, and could have held 3. Perfect for smoking. After a brief soapy soak cleanup took about 5-minutes but the food came off easily. An excellent product.
