I'm no lightweight, but I feel perfectly safe in this chair. I was disappointed by the short rope length. It is, however, easy enough to extend it with some reasonable level of safety, given some sturdy chain. No bigger than a good collapsible lawn chair when packed up. Three design flaws prevent this item from receiving a fifth star: 1: The metal bars, while lightweight and easy to move, are thin enough that I have serious concerns about the longterm viability of this product. 2: The cup holder's position is somewhat awkward, regardless of where it is mounted on the device. My hammock stand is cumbersome and I like to move it around. This wheel addition was a little hard to put in just the right place on the stand's pole. Also, every so often I have to tighten it back up because it loosens and moves around on the stand itself.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. It is comforatble and very easy to hook up. We do live in Phoenix and the color faded almost immediately. I was bummed about that. The hammock does hold my husband, myself and our daughter comfortably - about 400 lbs with all of us.

After doing a lot of research, I chose to buy a hammock from this company, mainly becuse of the fabric. It was a great deal, and arrived two days after my order was placed. I have not set it up yet, (only got it out of the box) but the quality looks superior and the color scheme is ideal. We will get a lot of use out this next summer!
