I bought 2 of these to go on the sides of an arbor; one is filled with thistle and the other with sunflower seeds. The thistle one works perfectly. The sunflower seed's perches are constantly being closed by squirrels. I have tried to hold the perches open, but so far have not found the correct solution (my next try will be duct tape). Chickadees don't seem to mind the closed feeder and are able to perch without them. Still, the feeders are inexpensive, look nice, and are easy to fill. If there was a locking mechanism on the perch I would have given this 5 stars.

Works. But, you can't see if the water level is ok. You may want to get a squirt bottle with a long tube to fill the cup

My husband had this on his wish list and based on the other reviews I almost didn't order it for him. Others said birds couldn't get seeds out and didn't use the feeder. We have lots of birds using this feeder at all times and I once counted 10 birds on it at the same time. Some cling to the wires and others sit on the perch to eat. The top has kept the snow and rain off of it and it holds a ton of seeds at one time (not filling it as much). Also the squirels have yet to destroy it unlike many other feeders we have had. I would definately buy this one again.

This bird feeder became a guillotine for one of our cardinals when a black bird landed on the perch and the weigh closed off the hole that the cardinal was eating from... I'd rather feed a squirrel than to kill beautiful cardinals.

With the addition of these two feeders (delivered yesterday) I now have a total of 11 hummingbird feeders. Although they're out of stock right now, I'm ordering 2 more today. We have Anna's hummingbirds all year long here but, ever since late last summer, we also have quite a few Rufous hummers migrating back to Mexico. The majority of the feeders are Perky Pet feeders but, unfortunately, not all models come with bee guards. This is the month where our honey bees are desperate for food and they will battle it out with our hummers. I couldn't wait to get the new additions hung up this morning and I am 100% satisfied. The bird bath does not look like the picture online! It's more gold than bronze, and it's lightweight plastic. I did fill it with sand, and I'll put small stakes into the ground to keep it from being blown over by heavy winds. It doesn't look plastic though. Overall, for the price of $16.99 plus shipping that I paid for it, I'm not too dissatisfied. Nice addition to my garden, and it is a lot taller than most bird baths.

Great product. I had to add a wood strip to the back to mount it - the mounting option it comes with (a screw) isn't practicle. Still a nice looking product. Very happy with it.

It took a while for the birds to discover this, but once they did -- they are almost non-stop at the feeder. They are going through a whole cake in less than 2 days. I am supplementing with whole grain bread now (which they completely disdain), and a second feeder for seed food. Both are right outside a window where my kitty stays for hours watching the birds. Truth in advertising. The product doesn't melt and it is easy to handle. Rip open the package and drop it into the feeder using the bag that it came in. No mess, no fuss. Very happy with it.

While I have the original Garden Song feeder, one of my feeders broke(due to me dropping it) therefore ordered a replacement which looks like the same online but once I received it, the glass part is not smooth and round like the originals or as shown in the picture so it doesn't match the others. Will probably still use it but not pleased that it doesn't match.
