This is one of the BEST sprinklers on the market! I just bought my second one! and it works great, just like the 1st one which was purchased back in 1972, yes you read that right 1972, and it still works GREAT!

I have had cast plastic reels in the past and they last one or two seasons. The product is sturdy and was easy to put together and mount.

The product is as advertised. It has many features, but the automatic shutoff is not useful in practice as it would seem. It puts a great pressure on the garden hose if not manually shut off right away. It also can spray you if the pressure is not released before the sprinkler is disconnected. I like the ease of adjusting the sprinkler. Those work well and are very easy to get like I want them.

This Timer works very well when one is irrigating plants, bushes or trees using either a soaker hose, drip irrigator or sprinkler. I have used a Gardena Water Timer for over 20 years and they just keep working.

this is my 4th water controler... it is by far the easyest to program...the best value for the dollar...I have wasted a lot of money on other timers that have failed and were very frustrating to program...I will recomend this product to everyone...

I got this when offered as a lightning deal and after I read the buyers reviews. I hate reeling up hoses so I thought I'd give this a shot. I can use the sink for potting, etc., and I have no problem dealing with the water used to reel up the hose. It assembled easily however I could not get the faucet to snap in so I'm waiting for a friend to come over to help with that part of it. The no crank reel works well even when the hose is off to the side and fully extended. No leaks so far. The drain tube came off once from excess water pressure but I probably had not secured it properly. Not bad all in all. I'll have to wait to see how it holds up over time.

The Gilmour Electric Water Timer is a quick and easy way to get your watering on a regular schedule. I had invested a significant amount of money and effort in soaker hoses and needed a way to regularly water my vegetable garden without forgetting to turn the water off each time! I have this water timer setup to water every 12 hours (morning and evening) for 20 minutes. It works great.

I can only add to the other good compliments posted here that this unit seems to work very well. Far better than expected. You cannot expect it to pull a typical hose-end spray nozzle through the grass if its handle digs into the turf, but, other than that, it seems to rewind my 5/8" garden hose very effectively. I purchased two more after the initial one and have them positioned at three locations surrounding the house. I did not find it necessary to use pegs to secure the boxes to the ground. Everyone who has seen mine in action is impressed. Each unit holds 100-ft of this larger hose easily. The short hose section that is used to control the run off water as it is rewinding is no big problem -- I just direct it to the plants nearby, or use it to clean my hands or wash down the hose, itself, to remove ... They contacted me about a backordered part gave an estimate of time and came in well before the estimate, but they checked with me every step of the way, absolutely terrific service from an AMERICAN COMPANY making an AMERICAN PRODUCT. Kudo's to all you folks. I bought 1 each of the hose reels to try them and they are perfect and very well made. I'll be ordering several more of each of them. Good stuff from good people.
