This is a case where "for the birds" means something good. My wife and I have been feeding birds in our back yard for about two years. We started using Valley Splendor when the cost of sunflower hearts started to go out of sight at our local supplier. Cost have increased dramatically across the board. Using Valley Splendor from Amazon allows us to continue our feeding program. A must have if you own a suger glider. Easy to store in freezer. Just take out couple hours befor feeding to thaw.

Just purchased a bird feeder. Had no idea the birds went through seed so quickly. I bought this brand because it said it attracted a wide variety of birds. It got eaten rather quickly, and we bought an economical bird seed but was not as good as this first package. This brand did not leave a lot of shells on the ground, whereas the value brand did. I highly recommend this bird seed, keeping in mind that it is not the cheapest alternative out there.

It took a while for the birds to discover this, but once they did -- they are almost non-stop at the feeder. They are going through a whole cake in less than 2 days. I am supplementing with whole grain bread now (which they completely disdain), and a second feeder for seed food. Both are right outside a window where my kitty stays for hours watching the birds. Truth in advertising. The product doesn't melt and it is easy to handle. Rip open the package and drop it into the feeder using the bag that it came in. No mess, no fuss. Very happy with it.

We have birds in our yard that we have rarely seen before, and they come several times a day just to feast on THIS suet. We have used suet for a long time, but not just any suet will attract these birds. The change in the number and type of regular birds came about when we changed over to Stokes peanut suet. We have a red-bellied woodpecked that flies in several times a day to get his fill. We have male and female harry woodpeckers that enjoy the suet. All of our birds love it, and the suet is important for a bird's diet in the winter time. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys watching and taking care of birds.

I order the 50 lbs. bag of peanuts bits and pieces advertised as food for wild birds. What I received is 50 lbs. SALTED and ROASTED peanuts mixed with bits of sugared nuts, pistachios, almonds, cashews, wood chips, burned nuts,etc. YOU SHOULD NOT FEED SALTED OR SUGARED NUTS TO WILD BIRDS. This is bad for them. In short, this product is worthless. Fortunately, Amazon was considerate and competent and refunded the cost of this purchase. Go Amazon!
