I am pleased with my new 19" Black & Decker Lawn Hog. It does a good job with none of the hassles of a gasoline engine mower. I prefer dealing with the cord to worrying about keeping the battery charged or it's life span (plus it's cheaper than a battery operated). Too bad the handle doesn't flip over, which helps keep the cord on the correct side, but it's light, so turning to go the other way is easy.

Good, as long as your grass is not too over grown. It's not for a yard thats been neglected. Great for smaller yard.

This is a typical electric mower. It does a pretty good job, but I wouldn't want to cut a large yard with it. I have to go over the grass several times to get an even cut. I also have to be a bit of a cowboy to manuver the cord but once I got used to it, it's very simple. One of the main reasons for buying an electric mower is because I don't have a shed, so I must carry the tool out of my basement when I want to use it. I'm glad that the handle folds down fairly easily (be careful you don't pinch the cord). The unit is a bit on the heavy side and there is no good way to carry it so that is a little cumbersome. I think it is priced right.

took 5min to put together, and then you just plug it in, pull the lever and go. it even mulchs way overgrown grass wihtout a problem. Best part is no more pull starts

My yard is hardly ideal for a corded electric mower. It's about six-tenths of an acre, and it's also divided into a half dozen smaller areas separated by walks, fences and flower beds. To reach out-of-the-way spots with a 100' cord, I have to plug into three different outlets. In several places the ground is uneven. There are shrubs and trees to work around, and various obstacles (like low shrubs) on which an extension cord can snag. I hesitated before ordering an electric, particularly one with a cord. I mowed the lawn this morning with the MM675 and found more to like than dislike. I bought mine over 5 years ago; it was only $20 cheaper back then. I've had no problems and nothing has broken on it. I clean the grass off it each time I use it and sharpen the blade a couple times a year. You just have to get used to using one of these things; cord management, how to attack tall grass, etc. But it's so much lighter and easier to use than a gas mower. But, I have a small yard that I mow it with and it takes me about 25 minutes to do it all, and I only have to mow maybe 6 times a year. Over 5.5 years this comes to 14 hours of operation. For me it's the right choice as it is easier and cheaper to maintain and operate than a gas mower and with the small yard I don't have to hassle with 200' of electrical cord to get the job done. I was very happy with this mower. My only complaint was the rear flexiable guard is too long and when you are pulling the mower backwards it get into the blade. I just cut off about 3 inches of the guard which is just a soft plastic and it works great. The mower has plenty of power and it is quiet. It mulches high grass OK and does normal length grass fine. All in all a fine mower.

didnt work for us. made wholes in the grass, didnt cut it even, really bad with corners. regret getting it.

I bought this mower because it was relatively cheap at $142. It took 2 weeks for me to receive it, and I was expecting to be disappointed. I was right. There was no owner's manual or any documentation to speak of. The mower is made in Hungary! One of the wheels could not be adjusted to the height of the other three; I had to really bend the metal adjuster to get it to hold...for awhile at least. The control lever is made of cheap disposable plastic. Then there's the "performance." This mower is simply too weak. It slows and then dies when there is any resistance. The bag is useless since the motor is too weak to fill the bag. It only fills up halfway. And when I tried to push the mower over a tree root, the long handle gave way from the short handle; the height adjusting mechanism on the handle is not strong ... Read More
