Pros: Expanded metal screening makes for good air circulation and nice looks. Adjustable height. Cord organizer. Front center buttons on laptop are accessable with this stand. Cons: A little wobbly and uneven when sitting on the desk or counter. Although it does not appear to have any bends or warps in it, it just doesn't sit quite flat or level. It isn't terrible, but is noticable when you touch the laptop or stand.

Seriously a great product. I use it in the car to and from work (2 hour commute each way), then all day at work. Good support and comfortable. So much better than those blow up chair supports (avoid those at all cost).

I've got this lamp about a year ago at joann fabric store and I really love it. It stands next to my computer, and I can adjust the height so it will cast light on the keyboard and on my hands and not to be bothered by bright light shining in my eyes. I do a lot of knitting and other crafting there by my computer now since I have this lamp. It is very sturdy, the height adjusts and stays the way you put it, which is not always happen with this type of lamps. You can rotate the "arm" the shade is attached to, and you can also adjust the angle for the shade. I was looking to buy a craft lamp and heard that ott-light is good, but after comparing them side by side at the store, I did not hesitate to choose Normande lamp for it sturdiness, good looks, and of course price (about two times cheaper). ... I don't know what that other reviewer was thinking, but the Mighty Bright DOES NOT use LED light bulbs. It is called MIGHTY BRIGHT because the light is focused where you need it, and it seems "mighty bright." And these bulbs are VERY hard to locate. In my quest to find them, I actually bought an LED light bulb which fit, but which flashed out from too much voltage within 5 seconds. (Dumb me, huh?) I went to three stores to find them, including the bookstore where I originally purchased my mighty bright and could not find them anywhere locally. Was delighted (no pun intended) to find them here!

If you have need of light in a focused area that won't disturb those around you, this is it. I didn't realize that limitation when I purchased it. If you need more light than that, get one of their gooseneck floorlamps - I also have that and love it.
