plays good at first. easy to bend up to the 6 hole. 7-10 holes are hard to play consitantly.

I ordered this for my eleven year old daughter because she is starting 6th grade and the school only provides loaner instruments to the lower grades. It came quickly, but what came was a Simba brand model CL-200 Clarinet. I admit that my daughter knows more about these things than I do becuse she has been taking clarinet for two years in school, but it looks to be a pretty cheaply made piece of plastic. Little more than a toy. My daughter says it is certainly useable, but not near the quality the school provided to her in 4th and 5th grade. I don't know what planet this thing would be worth what the ad claims to be the list price, the Amazon price (about 40% of list) is more reasonable. In the end; I guess you get what you pay for.

I have just started playing saxophone, so when I saw this and read the reviews I thought this would be perfect for me. When it arrived it looked fine and played well, but about a month later the low C key breaks then the G key pad stays open a little all the time. So I think to myself and sy, " It's probably nothing and can be easily fixed". So I take it to my band teacher and he sends it off to a shop. When they finnaly get it we find out that the repair will cost more than a third more than it costs! My mom decided that this sax isn't worth it, and that we should just get a better one. The technician even said that he wouldn't waste the money either because the whole body was loose! Do yourself a favor and get a higher quality saxopone!!!!!!

I ordered this clarinet for my nephew, who said he was not continuing on with the school band program in the fall because he didn't own his own instrument. The clarinet was shipped right away and I received it within 24 hours of placing the order. I opened the clarinet and everything looked to be of very high quality. I had a little trouble putting the instrument together (maybe because of the humidity of summer in Boston). I will leave the instrument assembled for a couple days before giving it to my nephew for his birthday in July so that it will be easier for him to assemble it. I recently took up recorder playing and fell into playing with my school's choir. I needed an instrument that sounded half decent, but I didn't want to spend a ton on a more expensive wooden recorder. I decided to buy this one, and I have been nothing but pleased with it. It sounds as good as a plastic recorder possibly can and breaks into three pieces for easy cleaning. If you need a good recorder and are stingy (much like me) buy this. You will not be upset!

I learned to play on a "pocket Pal" and the decided to puy a "Marine Band". At first I loved it for the sound, but soon the wood combs started swelling and took longer and longer to recede. After a few weeks the comb stopped receding and now in some places protrudes out of the front of the harmonica and rubs againest my lips when I play. I am a beginner and this may be somehow my fault, but I don't think I will ever buy a harmonica with wood comb again.

I got 2 of these for my daughters, as instruments go it is inexpensive and since I wasn't sure how interested they were in learning music thought this would be a good place to begin, and I was right. I already know how to read music so I picked up the basics pretty quickly and then was able to teach my daughter the fingering. My youngest quickly lost interest once she found out I wanted her to read the music. My oldest however played for a talent show, which made her really happy. It is good quality as far as an inexpensive models go, I like how it comes apart for easy cleaning, it's portable- my daughter even brought it with her on a girlscout overnight for a little campfire fun. It has been a really good first instrument.

For a first ocarina I think this was a very good choice on my part. It may not sound the best but it doesn't sound too horrible compared to some others I've heard. The range is about and octave +6 (Mine specifically is B to E, I'm not sure if it varies between ocarinas). It's a simple instrument to pick up and play, and gives a rather pleasant sound. Also, it's plastic, so it's extremely durable. The price was very reasonable, and came a day earlier than the shipping ETA (14th, estimated 15th-18th). The only problem is the instructions are written in Japanese, but they are simple and easy to understand. There are bound to be more than enough tutorials on the internet for those who want more information. I highly recommend this if you're a beginner.
