Hohner 280/64 Chromonica 64 Harmonica I love my Koch harmonica. I also have a Hohner Chromonica. I love the similarities between this harmonica and a common diatonic. First of all, the instrument has ten holes. Most diatonic harps come in the key of C, like this harp. However, this harp is different. Simply put, it's chromatic, meaning it can play all twelve notes per octave. My specific instrument came from my Aunt Dotty and Uncle Buddy. I consider it to be worth far more than the list price. This harp is the twenty-second instrument in my arsenal. If you consider buying this harp, get your hands on a good chromatic harp book as well.

I've been a performing musician for over thirty years and a harp player for about 20 years. I've tried Marine Band, Blues, cheap Korean, all kinds of harps and I don't think you get any more value than these Golden Melodies. Excellent tone, easy bending, and long lasting. The curved coeners make them more comfortable to grip and they just sound righteous. The only drawback is they don't hold well in my "mandies". (That metal contraption that Bob Dylan and others use to hold the harp while playing guitar at the same time.)

I work for a security company, and I often find myself in the middle of nowhere with nothing to look at and nobody to talk to. This makes falling asleep a serious risk, as in a risk to my employment and potentially a risk to the people and property I'm protecting. How do I avoid this problem? Playing my harmonica. I bought this harmonica because my Grandfather played in a band, and I wanted to try to teach myself. It was en excellent choice, as it has a good sound, and was not expensive at all.

i dug this thing up after it's been sitting in a box for years and years, still sounds great...and i have no idea who had it before me or for how long. books are...lame really, they jus aren't as helpful as they say. try buying some blues music and play with it ALOT...it will tell you if you're doing well-it'll blow your socks off with the sound quality when you're doing something right. why not 5 stars? i kinda wish mine was a lower key, i like those low, full notes.
