I couldn't believe the quality of this music stand when I set it up for the first time. I saw filmsy ones in a local music store that sell for $30 and above. I went ahead with this one because I trust the quality of Yamaha products and I can gladly say I'm not disappointed. It looks really good and sturdy standing in my living room and is very easy to be folded up and put back into the carrying bag if need to.

This ones is a little better than the loud plastic ones, but I guess I'm just not a recorder person, It still sounds like a toy to me. Maybe the very expensive ones would sound a little more rich, but I don't think I wanna play that bad. I'll just stick with the metal flutes for now.

This is my first time ordering an instrument online and I'd have to admit, they did a great job shipping it to me. I clicked on expedited shipping, it shipped on the day I ordered it and got to my apartment in 3 days! The instrument is in pristine condition! Nothing broken and nothing missing. Will order again from same seller if I need another instrument!

If there is anyone seriously interested in computer recording I would first check out the Edirol UA-4FX. It is a fully intergrated USB/Audio interface with 4 imputs including: 1 for MIDI, 1 RCA stereo imput, 1 for a dynamic mic/guitar and 1 for a condenser mic with the option to use phantom power, and whats even better is that is all USB bus powered. So there's no need for a power pack or bulky adapter, making it completely portable for you laptop people.

When the power supply for my piano keyboard fizzled out, I needed an exact replacement. The Yamaha PA5D Power Adaptor was the one I needed, and buying it through Amazon, it was half the price of buying one locally. When in use, the power box rests safely on the floor because the cord is long enough to plug to the keyboard while on its stand, and also allows me a good distance from the wall outlet.

may be i was a fool expecting this keyboard to be a wonderful instrument, cause this is far not the best keyboard among all of these crapy cheap keyboards.. with its 61 keys it has a beautiful setting that u can extend octaves. this yamaha has no touch sensitivity and it's a pity... whatever.. if u have just started learning to play piano or something and u want cheap and not very bulky thing to practice your skills it's worth buying.. and if u don't care about touch sensitivity of course...

The bench is OK. Comfortable, but a little wobbly. It's small, light weight, and cheap, but OK. The box says the bench is "from Yamaha and Others" in small print - it says distributed by Yamaha, but that it is made in China. The quality you would expect is definitely not there. Also, I ordered model PKBB1...They sent me PKBB1-MM...which is listed separately on the Amazon website for $5.14 LESS. So I guess they are the same, but Amazon doesn't tell you that. I had a good bench before (That my kids broke) and there is no comparison. Luckily my kids are a lot older now, but this is not made to hold up. I recently took up recorder playing and fell into playing with my school's choir. I needed an instrument that sounded half decent, but I didn't want to spend a ton on a more expensive wooden recorder. I decided to buy this one, and I have been nothing but pleased with it. It sounds as good as a plastic recorder possibly can and breaks into three pieces for easy cleaning. If you need a good recorder and are stingy (much like me) buy this. You will not be upset!
