They'll outgrow the octave range in high school if they stay with the full percussion set, but how many of us have room for a full-range set anyway? This is a great range span for the early years in percussion.

Purchased this item as a Christmas gift as listed on the receipients list and this worked out best for both giver and receiver as being an item desired rather than something to return or engineer what to do with it! However, the cymbal holder was well made and sturdy with good appearance and quality. If you have need ,it is a commendable product.

I have this awesome garage band that is really grooving on the local scene. We were booking dates, the crowd loved our music, we met with record executives...yet, something was missing. We experimented with several different sounds before we realized we were missing a cowbell. We didn't just need a cowbell, we needed more cowbell. The Conga and Bongo stands are strong and heavy duty. I thought this Pearl Primero Conga and Bongo Combo Stand Package included the Congas and Bongos, but it does not. A little misleading they should have left the picture of the drums out and had only the stand. When you purchase Congas, they almost always include a stand anyway, making this item most likely unnecessary. I sent it back and got FULL credit for the stands AND the shipping - so I'm happy and will now look to purchase a set of Congas with stand included.
