Great price for an amp with effects, and it gets pretty loud too. Easy to use, which may seem odd to mention for some who hasn't shopped for an amp, but trust me it makes a difference. Sound quality is... well, not as good as everything else I've mentioned. First, before anyone goes naysaying, I'm not playing on a squier or something, I'm playing on a PRS SE, and I've been to guitar center manhattan, and I tried every amp with this guitar. At 15w, this was among the best overall, but the clean on this amp is atrocious. It sounds hollow and tinny, and yes, I am accepting that I only paid 100 bucks for this, and yes, it is only 15 w, but other amps outperformed its clean setting. And most people will be using that the most.

I read many reviews on this product and had high expectations but what I received went way beyond those expectations. The quality is just fantastic and makes a great piece of kit for bedroom recordings.

Reason 4.0 has turned out to be an upgrade that you will not want to miss, and if you're a newcomer, you'll be very pleased as well. I started with Reason 3.0, and found it to be one of the most powerful softwares I've ever used. This is largely because Reason comes at the problem of music production from a new angle, that of setting up instruments to function as a hardware rack, with all the routing possibilities that it entails. We're talking about flipping the instruments and getting access to full back panels, with control voltage, gate, and note jacks that are wired up with virtual cables. I've owned this combo amp for more than a year and have enjoyed it a lot. It is truly one of the most versatile pieces of musical equipment I own with almost endless possibilities. The Celestion speaker in this amp is clean as well as handling some serious volume for a practice amp. The 75w doesn't quite have enough juice for small clubs or loud band practices, but it's a song writer's or studio musician's best friend. The next level up is the 120w 2x12 version which has stereo effects but no other massive sound characteristic differences, so I went with the 75w. The Good: This is a good tool to practice guitar with headphones. The Bad: The tones are not good by any stretch of the imagination, unless you like hyper-distorted noise. The cleans sound artificial and the crunch tones have obvious digital distortion applied. The effects are hit and miss as well. Plate reverb is decent but spring reverb is so artificial sounding that it's downright offensive. Throw in the fact it chews through batteries, the software interface you use to program it on your computer is really difficult to use, and how it loses its small-and-portable-factor with a guitar cable, headphone cable, and power adapter plugged into it, I'd be hard-pressed to recommend this product unless you really need to practice through headphones.

First off, I'm running the software on an ancient IBM T23 (1.0ghz, 768mb ram) so most of you should be fine with the system requirements. Second, this little thing is great. No latency, and you can hook up any instrument with a 1/4" out to the PC. Remember, this is not recording software (but you can use it with most recording software, including the free ones such as Audacity). Just look for the "Recording Device" and "Playback Device" and set them both to the Toneport if you're using headphones to the headset jack on the Toneport itself (which I recommend). I've used an electric guitar, a condenser mic, an acoustic/electric guitar, and a keyboard through this. I really enjoy this product. I recently graduated from college and don't have a large amount of money to spend on EFX pedals and amps, so I bought this. I have decent computer speakers so it works well for me, otherwise you could use headphones if your speakers aren't that great. I would purchase again! Great for a beginner with no gear, but not the same quality and power as an amp.

We had tried this amp in the store before buying it on Amazon. It works fabulously, our son loves it. He will be able to plug in his MP3 player and play along, plus he can use ear phones as well.
