Musical Instruments : Lee Oskar Harmonic Minor Harmonica, E MINOR

Lee Oscars are great harmonicas. They play real clean and last a long time. I also like Honner special 20's. They sound a little different (I like the sound more), but really, any of the harmonicas that are in the $17 to $25 range are good, pro harps. Even the Big River harps sound real good, and I think they are $13. I've had some Big River's though that take a little more air then Lee Oscars, Special 20, Blues, Herring Blues, Suzuki. The cheep harmonicas are really beginner harps, and don't sound that good (no piedmont specials please). If you are a beginner, I recommend you buy a $22 Honner special 20, in the key of C (most books are in C, but some use A, so check) to start with. You will experience less frustation as bends are a lot easier, and the holes are spaced a little further ... Read More
