Great ukulele for beginners or if you want to see if you'll like playing the ukulele. If you keep playing the ukulele I strongly suggest getting a better ukulele because its kind of flimsy.

My daughter got this set for xmas when she was around 20 months. She's still playing with it all the time a year later. It's all quality stuff and she could use it all from the start. I was amazed at how fast she learned how the kazoo worked and it was not long after that she started in with the harmonica. The quality of construction is high, however, some of the paint on the egg shakers and on the drum surface now has small chips in it, so I would be careful if your child is still putting things in their mouth.

I've lost count of how many times I've seen him step on the body or the neck. It's still going strong. No broken strings, no quality problems at all. Guys - if your 10 or 12 year old is taking guitar lessons - buy him a guitar, not a toy that happens to be shaped like a guitar.
