This is my first real guitar. I had an older Epiphone acoustic and the action was punishing, making it difficult for me to learn. I decided to get an electric and did my research here on Amazon. I am so glad that I bought this guitar. It sounds beautiful, and really motivates me to play and learn more. My fingers are throbbing right now, and I love it!! I would have to chime in and say that the original strings (which I still have on it) tend to get slightly out of tune after hammering away for a couple of hours. I plan to restringing it this weekend. I LOVE this guitar!!!

I got one of these second hand, and was happy to find out when I took it to the store that not only did the Epiphone I ended up buying fit in it, but so did the $900+ Gibson models, as well! Perhaps not a concern for everyone, but it's nice to know if you upgrade to a used Gibson down the road, it'll fit. Fit and finish is great, very solidly built. The top gives very slightly, but unless you were to jump (not just step) on it, it's unlikely you'd damage the guitar inside. Such a small amount for a case is a small investment for a $250+ guitar.

I'm sorry to put my review of the reseller here but Amazon doesn't let you review them directly if they cancel your order. This reseller would have a very poor rating if this was allowed(I've seen these reviews on many other items they sell). They apparently have very little stock contrary to their claims and have to backorder most things. Then, in my case, they canceled my order when their stock arrived(over a month into backorder) and raised the price of the item on Amazon(same day).

When my case arrived I feared it was too small to hold my Epiphone Dot. But, this case fits my Dot like a glove. The case is sturdy enough to protect my guitar from knocks and dings while the plush inside pampers the guitar's finish. The accessory compartment is large enough to hold my picks, tuner, and extra strings.

"T" wasnt lying about the pickups, the do indeed scream. The more I play it, the more i like it. Plain and simple, it looks, feels and sounds great. Previous to this guitar i have been playing my dad's Gibson Les Paul Recording... Tonally I am not noticing much difference. Honestly I think if i switched to higher gauge strings like that which are on my dads LP, my guitar would sound virtually the same. I'm not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to the nitty gritty details of guitars/pickups/overall tone, but i wasnt expecting my Epi to sound so close to an actual Gibson LP. If it helps paint the picture, I play a lot of Tool... and the solo from Rossetta Stoned sounds perfect on this guitar. It's no Silverburst, but you sure as hell can ballpark it.
