I bought this for my son and it works great. He just bought an expensive EVH leather strap and this will keep the strap secure. It has a great design, but I recommend that you have a music store install it for you.

I absolutely love these picks! Recently, I had trouble finding some and had to switch styles. I've honestly found that my playing is substandard with other picks. These picks have great grip and unlike some Dunlop picks, the ink from the logo won't rub off and stain your fingers. I love the gel picks and I've yet to see this "splittering" effect that everyone is so concerned about. Maybe I just don't play hard enough, but I would still seriously reccommend these picks to anyone.

Works great on my Ovation acoustic/electric. As other reviewer's have said, you do have to squeeze it a little hard open it, but it's not really an issue. Most guitar players have well developed muscles in their left hand anyway.

For years I have been trying various guitar picks to use on my electric bass guitars with round-wound strings. I must have tried over 50 different picks, and these are the winner hands-down!!! Not only do they give an excellent sound, but they last forever! After trying one each in .60mm, .73mm, .88mm and 1.00mm, I settled on the .60mm nylon picks. So I went out and bought a 1/2 gross of them, figuring that they would wear out in a couple of weeks each. Boy was I wrong!!! Where as a medium celluloid pick from a major guitar company lasted roughly 2 weeks, I am still on my first pick after 4 months!!! That's right! This item came not as shown on the actual picture could have been the company I purchased it from but buyer beware it is not as heavy duty as it looks. The pouch is smaller than I expected and the key ring is small and cheap.

I don't know what about you, but I have the unfortunate habit of "losing" my picks while I'm playing loud and hard. So this is an ideal solution if you're like me. (And don't want to embarass yourself by having to look for your pick at the end of each song while on stage.) But I must say that it's the slide holder that made me buy it. It's quite handy once you get the hang of it, cos keeping the slide in your mouth until you need it makes one look plain silly... (=

I'm not going to say this is the best strap in the world. It's thick and hard to move, and very heavy. However, it is sturdy as a result, has nice leather ends and a string in case your guitar doesn't have a button for the strap, and is fairly easy to adjust. The patter is wonderful, and while it doesn't have a neck protector, the edges are very rounded and will not cut your skin no matter how much you move around on stage.

It's amazing how the right accessories make life easier! I had seen these used for years, but didn't buy one because I never had the same mic stand from week to week. I now have a Worship Leader position where I have a dedicated mic and boom stand. So, I bought one and filled it with my favorite picks. It holds a ton of picks very securely and eliminates the panic caused by a thrown pick during a service. Well worth the price.
