First, I had NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY the guitar before I ordered this 'cheap' guitar and had it shipped to Afghanistan where I am currently stationed. It arrived FAST, which is great. It arrived in good shape, which means that the packaging is good. After I put it together (strings anyway) I busted the small string (whichever one that is). Fifteen minutes later and a little theft from a buddies string stash I had my guitar strung and tuned. Since there are hundreds of podcasts on how to play a guitar for free and books all over this base on how to play the guitar - I am proud to say that I can now 'get by' with a a few tunes. This guitar isn't so bad. for [...], its a great deal. i didn't see any nicks or scratches. no strings broke on me. and its not hard to tune. i got everything mentioned. the pick was black, and the strap was a rainbow color... but at least i got a free strap. you get what you pay for. only thing, is the frets might need to be filed down. because they are not deep enough. ill give it 5 stars for the price and the quality for its price. if you are a professional and want better quality, you should look at a higher priced guitar. but i recommend this guitar for beginners. why buy a 300 dollar guitar for someone who is just starting. buy them this instead. when they get better, upgrade them. nobody gets a flat out 2 seat manual sports car when they are in drivers ed. they get "something cheap". and this ... This was a great "wow" gift under the tree but for actual physical play it's life span is nill. Within the week after recieving it my eight year old daughter came to me with parts of the guitar that had fallen out. I have no idea what the guitar parts are called but it's the wood thingy that goes under the strings near the bottom. after I put that back I treid to re tume the strings only to find out that one of the string keys had no resistance, it just fell back leaving that string lax and off tune. sigh needless to say I would NOT purchase this agian and I suggest you consider a better built product as even though the price is great the longevity stinks.

I've owned this guitar for about 4 months, and am pretty pleased with it. For the price, you can't beat it. The sound is adequate. It seems durable- I've accidentally knocked it over several times, and nothing has broken or come apart. It comes rigged with a decent set of strings too, I'm a lefty so I immediately took them off and strung them the opposite way, and they're still hanging in there. I highly recommend this guitar for a beginner, or for someone who simply wants an inexpensive guitar to take with them or practice alternate tunings with.

It is a very stylish looking guitar with nice accessories, but don't expect to be able to tune it to sound anything like an actual guitar. It is best for pretend play more than anything.
