IF you like great feel,CONSISTENT tone, loud tone.This is the one. The LEE OSKARS have a bad TRIANGLE style of cover-plate...POOR DESIGN. If they where made with Honers COVERPLATE DESGIN style, they would be awsome. The LEE OSKARS, have a better GRITTER,GRINDING TONE....but lack in durability with the BLOW reeds 4-6 holes and alway's have trouble, going out. There high notes 7-10, just sound off key compared to SPEACIL 20's. BUT the draw notes 1-5 last much longer then speacil 20's. Which is good for the BLUES, since the low notes are what all the pros play alot. The only exception is that #2 hole, never works properlly compared to the SPEACIL 20. The golden melody is a nice harp though I prefer the delta frost by bushman it has a better sound and only cost about five dollars more.

Received my Hohner harmonica holder and as with all Hohner products it is first rate. No complaints at this point. It holds my harp firmly and the fit will probably work for almost any size person. The product arrived on time and packaged so that there was no damage to the product upon arrival.

This is the third type I have purchased so far, the other two being the Hohner Special 20's and Lee Oskar Major Diatonic. As far as quality, warmth, looks, and appeal, this harmonica beats them all hands down in every category! My favorite thing about this harmonica is the classic wooden comb, giving it a much more rich, folky, Bob Dylan-esque tone (which is what I was going for). I find bending and overblowing much easier on this harmonica as well although that is not what I bought this harmonica for. There is a reason that this is the most storied and popular harmonica of all time. It truly has made me a believer. I bought this case because I wanted to be able to put the harmonica in my pocket and not have it get banged up on my car keys or cell phone. The standard plastic cases that come with harmonicas are too fat and hard to be comfortable in a pocket. This is a well made case with a good zipper and padding, but it is about 50% too long for a Horner Special 20 or similar 10 hole diatonic harmonica. It is obviously made with "one size fits all" in mind. As such, it is bulkier than I wanted, but still usable.

Generally, I like it. I got it within two days of ordering, and it's a nice little harmonica to wail tunes on. The only real complaint I can have is that mine had (and still has)a nice big dent on the bottom. It doesn't seem to effect the playing, and it adds a sense of character to it, so I really don't mind. I've grown attached to it just as I have to all of my other instruments, so it fits right in, next to my Hohner.

I bought this as my first harmonica. I am by no means a harmonica expert, so I read a plethora of reviews and background info on the instruments before buying this one. I bought it because I heard it would be easy to learn on, I knew Hohner has the best reputation (only rivaled by oskar lee) and I wanted a harmonica with a wooden body. So far I am beyond pleased and even to my untrained ear the sound is rich.

I am a sereious harmonica player and i would recomend it to anyone. it has great tone and the tuning is almost perfect for a factory made harmonica
