First, I had NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY the guitar before I ordered this 'cheap' guitar and had it shipped to Afghanistan where I am currently stationed. It arrived FAST, which is great. It arrived in good shape, which means that the packaging is good. After I put it together (strings anyway) I busted the small string (whichever one that is). Fifteen minutes later and a little theft from a buddies string stash I had my guitar strung and tuned. Since there are hundreds of podcasts on how to play a guitar for free and books all over this base on how to play the guitar - I am proud to say that I can now 'get by' with a a few tunes. I got this guitar due to the smaller size. The neck is the only thing noticibly shorter which is perfect for a small framed person. It is a starter guitar but the sound quality is great. I've only had to tune it the day I got it. I've played it every day since & it's still in tune. I've had it for 3 weeks now. I got the blueburst & it is very attractive.

This guitar isn't so bad. for [...], its a great deal. i didn't see any nicks or scratches. no strings broke on me. and its not hard to tune. i got everything mentioned. the pick was black, and the strap was a rainbow color... but at least i got a free strap. you get what you pay for. only thing, is the frets might need to be filed down. because they are not deep enough. ill give it 5 stars for the price and the quality for its price. if you are a professional and want better quality, you should look at a higher priced guitar. but i recommend this guitar for beginners. why buy a 300 dollar guitar for someone who is just starting. buy them this instead. when they get better, upgrade them. nobody gets a flat out 2 seat manual sports car when they are in drivers ed. they get "something cheap". and this ... I've owned this guitar for about 4 months, and am pretty pleased with it. For the price, you can't beat it. The sound is adequate. It seems durable- I've accidentally knocked it over several times, and nothing has broken or come apart. It comes rigged with a decent set of strings too, I'm a lefty so I immediately took them off and strung them the opposite way, and they're still hanging in there. I highly recommend this guitar for a beginner, or for someone who simply wants an inexpensive guitar to take with them or practice alternate tunings with.

I bought this for my three year old niece. She absolutley loves it, however the strings came loose only after playing with it a couple of times. It has the ability to tighten the strings, but they come loose again very quickly. But she loves it, so it was worth it.

We bought this guitar a year ago for our 12 year old daughter. It plays very well, and the strings haven't broken since. The only thing I would worry about when buying it is that the paint chips really easily. I remember one time our 6 year old son accidently hit it against the wall and the paint chipped a little piece off. But if your really careful with it, you'll enjoy playing this a lot. For beginners, I suggest buying an electronic tuner, because the tuner they give you doesn't really help you tune a guitar that well. xDD Hope this helped you with your purchase! :]]

I ordered the "Lauren" 30 inch Guitar Package as a joke gift for my girlfriend, who shares the name of the manufacturer. For twenty some odd dollars I certainly wasn't expecting anything remotely close to sub-par, at least as far as guitars are concerned. But what came in the mail really wasn't too bad. The tuners are cheap but they hold tune, mostly, unless you bend too far. The body, as well as the head and neck, feel like pine, which is fine because I wasn't expecting koa or something nice. The paint job isn't too bad, except for the few nicks I found, which were easily covered with black sharpie. All of the physical attributes really don't mean a thing if it doesn't sound good, and well... I'm laughing... It's really not that bad! The "Lauren" has a tinny sound, which is to be expected ...
