I purchased the electronic keyboard for a birthday gift to give to our 13 year old grandaughter. The unit arrived as scheduled and was very nice however the keyboard had small keys, and she wanted one with piano size keyboard. I returned it to amazon and they put a credit to my credit card. Everything went smoothly and I look forward to future purchases with amazon.

may be i was a fool expecting this keyboard to be a wonderful instrument, cause this is far not the best keyboard among all of these crapy cheap keyboards.. with its 61 keys it has a beautiful setting that u can extend octaves. this yamaha has no touch sensitivity and it's a pity... whatever.. if u have just started learning to play piano or something and u want cheap and not very bulky thing to practice your skills it's worth buying.. and if u don't care about touch sensitivity of course...

The quality is 5 stars and this unit will not disapoint you. But here is what might. As you may have already read this does come with a power supply. When I baught mine i got it without it and the unit only cost me about $170. While this bundle is nice i think they are charging you almost 30 bucks for the power supply. ALso finding out from yamaha what powersupply they recomend is like pulling teeth (by hand). There is a locking bolt on the bottum of this to attach it securly to a stand. NONE of the stands under $100 use this bolt they just sit the keyboard on rubber stubs. STILL I 10000% recomend this unit and all in all what it has taken me to get a power supply i think the price hike here might be worth it.

This unit is all that is advertised and more. The hundreds of voices and available synthos make it a "close to pro" instrument. The onboard speakers are plenty loud for inside and the key touch is awesome. I am going to buy another one for Christmas.

I am not a professional musician, but I have dabbled in music most of my life without ever settling on a specific instrument (I did blow a mean blues harp in the eighties). I was recently inspired to pick up an inexpensive keyboard after watching a PBS special demonstrating just how easy it is play the piano...as long as you're not expecting to become a classically trained concerto master, anyway. Heck, if I can handle a typewriter keyboard, then I might have enough dexterity to fumble out a song or two during the holidays, eh? I recently purchased the CTK900 for my elderly Aunt.Her musical interest is in classical piano and church organ. This keyboard has a button for both piano pre-sets,and draw-bar organ. I have an older version with 2 song capability;which I still enjoy composing original instrumental music with. I would consider the CTK 900 an updated version of my Casio, & suitable for someone who appreciates the fine tonal qualities offered. My Aunt is 95, and I feel it satisfies her educated ear. This keyboard & accessories are a terrific value,and supply everything a musician needs to be creative. JS

I bought this keyboard a couple of months ago cos I was looking for a good controller keyboard to use with Reason. It turned out to be perfect for the job. The keybaord has a number of presets for a variety of music software programs including Reason...which will save you time assigning the 8 knobs and 9 sliders. The build quality is solid and the feel is good. The knobs are comfortably spaced out so you can easily get into your grove. The unit is powered via USB (brilliant) with the option for mains power (AC adapter not included). You have the two important pitch bending and modulation wheels on the side...another pleasant surprise is the tranport control panel positioned below the knobs. If you're looking for a solid, portable controller keyboard then this baby will do the business.

I took 16 years of classical piano training and bought this keyboard to record accompaniments to vocal music for use in vocal training. My review consists of initial impressions on how the product measures up to my particular need: Ease of use - as with other all-in-one electronic keyboards, the keyboard works when you turn it on with no adjustments. If you want to do ANYTHING other than use it in default mode, then the user guide must be consulted. Similarity to an acoustic piano - keys are not weighted, 12 keys are missing as compared to an acoustic, and the keys are mighty slippery. I find my fingers slipping off the black notes quite a bit.
