We get these reeds for my daughter that plays the Clarinet. We have been getting Vandoren since half way through her first year and absolutely love them. They perform better, they hold up long, and even though they cost more than Ricco, they are around alot longer. If you have a clarinet player that is serious about being good, use this brand reed.

My son loves it. It is padded and has a soft velvet outside lining. I preferred this over the neoprene one because it contours to the neck rather than be stiff. I recommend it highly.

I purchased the kit for the flute and also the Giardinelli kit for the saxophone. I am a life-long flute player. I was pleased with everything included. The little chamois-type swabs really remove the moisture from the head joint. Good product.
