The bench is OK. Comfortable, but a little wobbly. It's small, light weight, and cheap, but OK. The box says the bench is "from Yamaha and Others" in small print - it says distributed by Yamaha, but that it is made in China. The quality you would expect is definitely not there. Also, I ordered model PKBB1...They sent me PKBB1-MM...which is listed separately on the Amazon website for $5.14 LESS. So I guess they are the same, but Amazon doesn't tell you that. I had a good bench before (That my kids broke) and there is no comparison. Luckily my kids are a lot older now, but this is not made to hold up. This seems to have much better sound than the even cheaper plastic recoder it replaced. It is well made and has good sound for the price. (Key words here are "for the price".) Don't expect it to compare to and "real" wooden instrunment. It does it's intended job well - teaching kids the basics of music but I gave 4 not 5 stars because it still hast that "plastic" sound quality but I doubt any inexpensive plastic recorer would be better

seems to be right size; but got it together & then found ink or grease on my hand; am trying to find where it came from without un-screwing whole thing; whatever it is ruined bed spread I was sitting on to assemble, too. Let me know where you think it came from. Is not on outside of box.

It plays great! I use it, plus a predecessor of it, at my brother's place, in band practice. My only complaint about it is that, when I am playing, and use the "crash cymbals" for emphasis, then keep playing, the "crash" almost immediately cuts out. I don't think "The predecessor" cuts out like this. (I can't remember the number, but it is a Yamaha. I got it at Costco) Also, the top-right pad can hardly be heard. I have this same problem with the predecessor. However, all-in-all, it's a good product!!!

E-Z is the best thing to say about learning to play the guitar! You can down load other songs to learn to play! The sound effects are GREAT too!

The Yamaha F-310 Acoustic Guitar was my very first guitar, and I grew to love it. I played it for 6 years, and it never failed. Since then I have upgraded to a Gibson Songwriter Cutaway (which plays like a dream), and I gave away my trustworthy Yamaha to a lucky person. I sometimes wish I still had my old F-310. I beat it up pretty bad, but the tone and playability never diminished. Don't let the price fool you...this yamaha is everything you could want in a beginner/intermediate guitar. With the right set of fresh strings, this guitar sounds comparable to higher-end guitars in the upper hundreds. Buy this Yamaha, and it'll be one purchase you don't regret.
