This is not a must have CD in a R'nB collection, but it is a nice CD, even though it is not outstanding....
But if you are a true Usher fan it is surley a must have :-)

Daniel Cartier began singing in subway stations in New York City in the early 90s. His first professional singing experience was singing a duet with Blondie's Debbie Harry at a Jackie 60 party. In time, his name, face, and sound became synonymous with the city's vibrant East Village subculture. This fertile era would also give birth to the music of the late Jeff Buckley, and the rock musical's RENT and Hedwig & the Angry Inch. This live album (recorded in the Canal St. subway station) captures the mood and atmosphere of that time quite well--when the East Village was still gritty and a little dangerous. It is full of Cartier's acoustic gems like you would have heard them in places like Cafe Sine', CBGB's, Brownies, Mercury Lounge, and Squeezebox at Don Hill's (which also hosted the early ... I actually saw these guys live around 1966. They were incredible. Unfortunately this CD is not a very good representation of their talent. The sound seems like it was done from mikes around a bar and not from a sound board. You hear background noise and glasses tinking. The audience applauds very little. If you are a real fan, then buy it for sentimental reasons.

I have been a Paul Revere fan since they gained fame in the mid sixties. It is only for this reason that I am so generous with my rating of two stars.Mark Lindsay's voice is not as powerful as it once was.He also seems unable to hit some of the high notes.Even though you can't beat the price, I would not recommend this album to anyone. Play it safe and stick with the originals.
