DAZZLING, DYNAMIC, DRAMATIC DANIELS!!!!!!!!!! This recording in my opinion displays more than any other the versatility of David Daniel's perfomances. He shifts easily from character to character in these oratorios, his voice always making the necessary adjustments to do so. His tone quality is even throughout his range and his diction is always clear and precise, even at breakneck speeds as in the aria from 'Belshazzar'. Handel's oratorio style was the product of many mingled elements. Germany, Italy and England all had a hand in its formation. But the work that Handel did in the development of the oratorio alone gives him the right to rank among the greatest of those to whom we owe the modern forms of music. This was my first introduction to Sherlock Holmes. I have wanted to start reading this series for some time and, finally, I was able to get around to it. As this was the first book in the series, I started with it. Arthur Conan Doyle certainly created an enduring set of characters in the genius of crime-solving Sherlock Holmes and his assistant, Dr. James Watson. In this novel, they meet through a mutual friend as two people both looking for roommates. Not but a few days after, Holmes reveals to Watson that he is a private detective and the two embark together on their first (of what will be many) cases. This was the type of music back in my days of high school. What really made give this album 5 stars, was the fact that for once there are songs where someone other than coko get to sing the lead. Can't cope and Mystery were pleasant surprises when I first heard them plus if you like jams that make your car boom, these 2 song are sure to do it!

If you haven't heard this before, you must buy. This orchestrated story is incredible. This piece goes from a peaceful jungle to a really insane fight to a upbeat almost African Jungle cruise portion. Absolutely marvelous! I highly recommend it.
