This CD does feel abit disjointed at times - not all the music featured is the "same", and yet it all somehow links back to the theme of lazy hot days, and the celebration of summer. It makes me think of the samplers that Windham hill has put out to showcase their various artists. The tracks run the gamut from smooth jazz, to new age, to world beat, to cajun jam session, but it all expresses a feeling of jubilation, and while I don't love EVERY song, I love enough of them to love the CD.

I was a tad bit disappointed in this disc, after hearing disc 1. If the premise was to correlate with the CWG books, I would expect very little vocal and more instrumental. I did not like the vocals on this disc and really felt that it detracted from the rest of the disc. I wanted to be relaxed, in a meditative state and the vocals seemed to distract from that ambiant mood. I felt that the vocal tracks really had nothing at all to do with the tone of the disc.

This is not a disc to relax to, but rather, to enjoy the wonderful music of the various artists of Windham Hill.

Since the CWG books stand alone, I would expect more of a meditative, contemplative disc, as one found with disc 1. The very few vocals on disc 1 were subtle and blended perfectly with the intrumental ... Read More

One of the benefits of modern technology is to remaster the musical works of the past. This collection is one of them. Once people hear this CD series, if they have heard it in the past, it will bring back pleasant memories. I myself, still own some the vinyl recordings of the music in this series. but, now I have a CD version of them, so I can stop trying to find a turntable to play them.

I used to own a vinyl LP of this album. I was captured by the ethereal mood of the music. The cover reflects the cuts from the album, dreamy and reflective. Best cuts are Maybe tomorrow, And when I see your smile my day begins, Love theme (Missouri breaks), A boy named Charlie Brown, Send in the clowns. If you like mood music, traversing you on shores with waves lapping, this album will captivate you.

I have all of Armik's albums and I love them all. No one can touch him when it comes to shear speed and fire driven guitar. This was the first one that I purchased, but it has always been my favorite. It has Armik's trademark guitar plus some awesome piano, which is why I chose it first out of all of his albums. I definitely recommend this and any of his albums to anyone looking for the Joe Satriani of acoustic flamenco guitar. And if you don't know Joe, then never mind.
