I have a four year old, and I've heard this recording at least 50 times. The orchestra is great and Hart's narration is very well done. My son has danced this piece for us many times and I'll always think of it fondly. This "Peter and the Wolf" is a great way to keep away from the overproduced, low-quality, sticky sweet nonsense that's sold as music for small children.

I received this as a Christmas present for my children last year, but haven't opened it until now. The music, of course, is beautiful. I thought the CD was just music. Instead it includes voices of the various characters telling the story in time with the music. It's really quite lovely and my children enjoy listening to it in the evenings before bed.
