This is one of the best albums ever produced! Why you ask? The voice of Joe Cocker is perfectly balanced with the background music to create a totally enjoyable experience. There are unusual and different sounds created here. One must listen without interruptions to feel and hear the impact. I am not even a die-hard Joe Cocker fan, yet I found myself mesmerized by the supporting cast of musicians. Subtle nuances of organ, bass, electric guitar and background vocals makes this a repeat listening pleasure. This album is over a decade old but sets the standard in my mind for beautifully mixed lyric's and music blended to perfection. When looking for this CD, I wasn't having too much luck at stores. But when checking online, I found it quickly. It was fantastic to listen to. And it was in perfect condition. I could not be more pleased with this CD.

While the first three albums are nothing short of essential, You should get both anthologies and the later records I've mentioned as well because contrary to what some fans and critics will tell you, the later years have not been wasted entirely, and Cocker has also grown into a richer, deeper vocalist as he has aged. If you get all of the albums I've mentioned, you will not, in spite of what some revisionists might say, be cluttering up your living space. Instead, you will be hearing how a great voice has grown and developed through the years.
