Bing Crosby (doing a great job on the title track), The Andrews Sisters (without Bing but ripping the joint up with Rum and Coca Cola), The Mills Brothers (damn, if Paper Dolls is not one of the theme songs for that era, what else beside Sentimental Journey is?), The Ink Spots (doing a misty-eyed job on If I Didn't Care) and on and on for Disc One. ... TMGE rock like absolute madmen. This disc kicks ass six ways to Sunday. Highlights include the first track "Citroën no kodoku" #3 "Abakartreta Sekai (The World Exposed)" and #14 "The Redhead Kelly". Track #11, "Margaret," is flat-out one of the best rock songs I have heard in years, maybe ever, in any tongue. Seriously, these guys kick out the jams. No matter what language you speak: if you want rock, grab Rodeo Tandem Beat Specter.
