DAZZLING, DYNAMIC, DRAMATIC DANIELS!!!!!!!!!! This recording in my opinion displays more than any other the versatility of David Daniel's perfomances. He shifts easily from character to character in these oratorios, his voice always making the necessary adjustments to do so. His tone quality is even throughout his range and his diction is always clear and precise, even at breakneck speeds as in the aria from 'Belshazzar'. Handel's oratorio style was the product of many mingled elements. Germany, Italy and England all had a hand in its formation. But the work that Handel did in the development of the oratorio alone gives him the right to rank among the greatest of those to whom we owe the modern forms of music. Its a CD featuring different pop songs from gay artists, it is a great opportunity for all these singers, in all there are good and not so good songs, but there are some that are really worth while like, so i think you wont regret it. And another thing, i believe its really great that gay artists are finally getting a chance to express themselves and they want to in their music, so in a way, its a good start...

As a Peter Maffay Fan from Chicago,USA,I found the variety of sounds and "flavors" in this CD exciting and "delicious" From the beautiful duet "Savior" with Noa, "Wapio" (with Lohua Kanza.) Maffay sings in Kanza's African language with a deep smooth voice demonstrating his own vocal range which compliments the Kanza's heartfelt tenor. A new treatment for a favorite "Nessaja" in duet with Jose Carreras? Yes, it works. The Rich unique voice of Keb'Mo carries "Am I wrong" with Maffay hanging right in there. Maffay's native German is evident with the contrasting pronunciation on this track, yet his own fine voice and the pure enjoyment of music is a joy to hear. Years after Pete Rock and CL Smooth broke up, Pete would decide to go on and produce a solo album. Now if you're unfamiliar with ANY of Pete rocks credentials, I suggest you go cop Mecca and the Soul Brother & The Main Ingredient before getting any of their solo albums. There you will see why Pete is and has always been such a gifted producer. So in 1998 we have this Soul Survivor LP. Let me first start by saying that the production here is excellent. Now, you take the hottest, non-over exposed artists around that time and let them rhyme over some of Pete Rock's production, and you have this here.
