Its a CD featuring different pop songs from gay artists, it is a great opportunity for all these singers, in all there are good and not so good songs, but there are some that are really worth while like, so i think you wont regret it. And another thing, i believe its really great that gay artists are finally getting a chance to express themselves and they want to in their music, so in a way, its a good start...

Yet another album (see my preceding review) that's just made the vinyl-to-CD transition in my collection. The ballad "Where There Is Love" and the stomping "Breakout!" are both worth checking out but the real meat here is to be found on the club hit "Forget Me Nots", sampled in recent times by both Will Smith ("Men In Black") and George Michael ("Fastlove"), the incredible instrumental "Number One" (a huge favourite among the dance & rare groove set for years) and of course, the beautiful mid-tempo ballad "Remind Me" with its sick electric piano solo - also sampled, this time back in the 90s by Faith Evans ("Fallin' In Love") and 'referred to' by Mary J Blige ("You Remind Me").

This is one gem of an album. Patrice Rushen has always been vastly underrated in my opinion, both ... Read More

7.Garrick Ohlsson: The Complete Chopin Piano Works Vol. 2 - Preludes from: Arabesque Recordings

Search : Garrick Ohlsson: The Complete Chopin Piano Works Vol. 2 - Preludes
Having just praised Ohlsson's first 1974 EMI Preludes rendition (luckily available in a bargain twofer together with the excellent 1977-9 Nocturnes--Chopin: Préludes & Nocturnes), this 1989 Arabesque remake is in fact even finer. The main differences concern pacing, rubato and tone colour; in these areas Ohlsson attains a level of sophistication that is unsurpassed on disc. However, I've indeed added a tiny minus due to some occasional lack of fire and risk-taking.

Melvyn M. Sobel finds the Op 28 Preludes 'a tad too low key' in comparison with other installments in Ohlsson's complete cycle. In the C major, G major, F-sharp minor and E-flat major, I do have to agree with him. Nonetheless, labeling the whole disc a 'lackluster issue' couldn't be more inaccurate, considering the ... 10.Beatles Go Baroque from: Naxos

This is one of the wittiest CDs that I have ever heard. Breiner very successfully finds baroque elements in music where a non-composer's ear would never pick them out. Would you have noticed the similarities between "Michelle" and the main subject of "Die Kunst der Fuge"?
Buy it.
