Tom Albert's "Night Music" is at times shimmering, unsettling, calm, and humorous; it is always exquisitely crafted and colorful. This disk will please both the new music novice and the serious technician. A compelling union of beauty and craft. Strongly recommended!!

This is a different feel from common bach interpretations, for it is subtle and relaxed. The marimba isn't a violin or a harpsichord, so it doesn't have the type of tension that performances on these instruments have...when I first listened to it, I found it to be very oddly different, but then quickly began to like it much, for it is such an interesting quality. The usage is elegent and the instrument is allowed to breathe in a way that others can't, making the counterpoint come out in original ways.

I've followed Mr. Quinn's career for many years. This is truely some of his finest work. If you're into classical guitar, this CD is a must have!

This is a beautiful recording but Igor Kipnis needs to slow down. He plays the short, easy keyboard pieces as fast as he can and with strange trills and extra notes. The rhythms are wierd too. I liked this recording but could have liked it better if Igor Kipnis did not ruin it with his wierd playing.
