We bought this CD when it was first released in 1993. The songs are timeless and even now at 20, we still pull it out every holiday season to hear some favorites. It's not just for Christmas, it's a Hanukkah album as well! Recommended tracks: "Mrs. Fogerty's Christmas Cake" and "Candles Long Ago." I hope you all enjoy this CD as much as my family does! Also, check out the other Sharon, Lois and Bram titles that are available. They are all excellent and you will not be disappointed!

Personally I think that EP's can be much more fun to listen to than LP's. And I think I just have say that this Sing Song EP is the best I've heard. If you like bands like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Spoon, The New Pornographers and all indie/powerpop bands simular to them, you will love this!

I've chosen to call this album Singalong rather than Sing Song because it's so catchy!

Thank you Little Ones for bringing this album to my ears!

I'm an old Dylan fan and I own all his albums.

Bob is the best and of course the music of this compilation is good and the choice of tracks is correct. But I won't give this box 5 stars because of his concept.

The choice made is to have all the obvious tracks in chronoligical order.

I understand that. But still I would have prefered some more risks (what about Farewell Angelina ; Senor ; Desolation Row ; Idiot Wind ; When The Ship Comes In ; Tears Of Rage ; I and I ; Shot Of Love ; Angelina ; I Pity The Poor Immigrant ; Dear Landlord ; Percy's Song ? . I would have also been for the inclusion of some great live performances ( Visions Of Johanna 66 ; It's all over now baby blue 66 ; One too many morning 76).

And I would have chosen a non ... Read More

This eponymous debut is one of the most interesting c.d.'s to be released in a long time. Hope Waits sounds like 2 parts Maria Muldaur, 2 parts Bonnie Raitt, .5 parts Madeleine Peyroux and 1.5 parts Sheila Jordan. Her music is similarly multi-inspired, being an interesting mix of jazz, rhythm & blues, and blues (both Chicago electric and "Muscle Shoals-variety").

The best thing about this c.d. is the production. With Hope Waits front and center throughout, the c.d. has a variety of musical colorations. Whether horns, accordion, capriorgan, tack piano, or a plethora of guitars, the c.d. never fails to fascinate. Kudos to the three producers: Douglas Grossman, Peter Malick (tripling as songwriter and guitarist) and Ducky Carlisle (also the mixer).

And it has ... Read More
