What a great CD! Absolutely the best Neil Diamond collection to date! Only missed 5 stars due to the absense of 3 songs: Shilo, Brooklyn Roads and Done Too Soon. Other than that, this collection is the best!!

This is an amazing collection of songs.

The man never stops writing.

The demos alone are worth it.

Oddly enough this was the first RH record that I ever bought. To tell the truth , I think it was the cover that won me over. Really. This sounds much more like a cohesive artistic statement rather than just a stop-gap odds and ends compilation. By the end of the Black Snake outtake, "All I Wanna Do Is Fall In Love" (why this track was an outtake I'll never understand), I knew it was just a matter of time till I purchased all things Robyn. In fact aside from a few way-out-there experimental tunes this may be my fave collection of Robyn tunes. "Give Me A Spanner (i.e. wrench), Ralph", "I('ve) Got A Message For You", "Eaten By Her Own Dinner", "A Skull...", "The Abandoned Brain", "Falling Leaves"
and the version of "My Favorite Buildings" on here are all great songs and some of my fave Robyn ... Read More

This should prove a good buy for those interested in musics from around the world. Ara Topouzian plays the qanun (kanun) well, as does Dick Barsamian the ud. This cd has no singing, its all ud and qanun. The recording would be better if it were done in a really good studio with a great audio engineer, but its not bad either. As the title implies, its pretty relaxing - nice for an Armenian, Persian, or Turkish dinner or just listening. Qanun has a unique sound and its curious more people don't list to it.

Goner harkens back to the days when alternative rock was just growing and had a strong southern college appeal. a time when bands like REM, the Feelies, and the Db's rules the university airwaves. it was that earnest jangle of those bands and a sense of real emotion that made their songs so great. well, Goner has the earnestness down, now how can we incorporate the jangle without a guitarist in the band? well, no matter when you've got this great little album under your sleeve. the songs on How Good We Had It are packed full with a strong melodic punch that hits hard; and the hooks are catchy, yet elusive enough to warrant further listening. unfortunatly, there are a few factors which make it hard for me to enjoy this album all the way through in one sitting. for one, the nasal vocals grate on my ...
