I'm not a huge house/trance fan, but do buy the genre occasionally. Miss Nine will satisfy both casual listeners and hard core trance fans alike with this mix. She mixes nicely layered tracks and avoids the overly repetitive nature of most trance CDs. My favorite track is the haunting PQM track "You are sleeping" It's a stunning, hooky track that's hard to get out of your head. Put this in your iPod and you will slip away into a hot club with the beautiful & sexy Miss Nine above it all, mixing it up.

If you've ever heard Sultan speak on Connected Live or have merely caught yourself a glimpse of his hair, you no doubt are familiar with his spirited and positive good nature. Graciously, these attributes that make him such a unique player in the modern EDM scene translate from mind to music - which is perhaps the reason why Yoshitoshi: Montreal has to be my favorite Yoshitoshi release to date. Sultan represents tracks of his own creation in four of the disc's fourteen tracks alongside featured DJs including Ned Shepard, Stephanie Vezina and Zara (and let's not forget the Sultan/Ned Shepard accapella featuring Stereomovers). Normally, when a DJ over-represents him/herself on a mix album, my tendency is to think snobbery; the selection of tracks, however, is so impeccable that I have ... Read More

With wonderful mixing, LF puts two superb sets of tracks together to make a musical bonanza. This is true dance music, for dancing or listening, in its highest form. It holds well together from the beginning and all the way through both Cd 1 and Cd 2. Cd 1 has a mellow flair with beauty and genius emerging through the 7th track of Acca's 'Rain'. 'Highlights' keeps the music uplifted, in varying forms, which continues through the remainder of the cd. Cd2 is a blend of sheer happiness all the way. Sixteen months after buying this cd, its still a real favourite. Lf epitomises the best in musical creations. Highly recommended.

Now celebrating nearly 20 years in the music business.Jocelyn Pook has travelled a long road since the days of sessions for Siouxsie & the Banshees.Together with other ex students from the Guildhall...Ann Stephenson and Audrey Riley they joined forces with singer songwriter Virginia Astley and had their names on the sleeve of "Melt the Snow":collectively the 4 of them were known as "Virginia Astley's Friends & Colleagues" and stayed with her until 1986. In the 90s Jocelyn was a co founder of the Electra Strings, with Sonia Slany, and eventually this was to lead to her Ist album "Deluge".She remained closeted in her own world of contemporary chamber music, her influences from many strains of classical music. This album contained "Blow the wind/Pie Jesu" which sampled the voice of Kathleen Ferrier ...
