I saw the movie, which was excellent, and wanted the soundtrack. The music is beautiful, and it's so nice to hear the complete versions of songs that you only heard bits of in the movie. It's an excellent recording, crisp and clean. But the volume levels change so much that it's hard to listen to. Keep your stereo at a moderate volume for the loud parts, and you literally can't hear the quiet parts. Turn your stereo up for the quiet parts, and the loud parts rupture your eardrums. But if you like playing music really loud, it won't be a problem.

I can't imagine anyone not liking these three guys. Their songs are fabulous and done so well. There are a few songs that will send you to the moon, they are so lovely.
Just pop this cd into your player and clean your house or just relax after a stressful day...the music will take you away. You won't be disappointed in this cd.

Now that the dust has settled on the careers of both Michael Jackson and Luciano Pavarotti, comparisons are apt.

Not that you'll get many of them here. I want merely to state that listening to Pavarotti sing these seven pieces by Donizetti, Verdi, Strauss, Rossini, and (of course) Puccini is like watching a Michael Jordan highlight film.

Because The Mike has been playing golf rather than basketball for several years now, it's possible to look back on his career with open-jawed admiration without having to state that he was the best ever. He may have been, he may not have been. It's irrelevant.

The pertinent point is that he had unsurpassed physical skills and intuition, was an intense gamesman, had a discernible personality that he didn't find it below ... Read More

I heard this CD on a PBS pledge drive (it was a premium) and found myself loving every cut on it! I was in my car and just wanted to keep on driving and listening. This is by far my most-played CD - I've had to make it a weekend only listen to prevent getting burned out on it. HIGHLY recommend it. Even if you are unfamiliar with some of the pieces, you will quickly learn to love them. . . . I must end this review - I'm off to listen to the "flower duet" for the 100th time. . .
